Prime Iron Mike vs. Prime Vitali

I'll have to go with Vit. I am certain Mike Tyson would not be able to manhandle Vitali. Interesting matchup though. It would probably end on a ref stoppage or cut.

Last time i looked, a bully is someone who tends to pick on people smaller than him, to make himself look good, he never picks on anyone his own size and when he does, he gets his face shredded....

The fighters with ability who stood up to Tyson and were not intimidated by him beat him. See Douglas, Holyfield, and Lewis. In the combined 4 matches, Tyson won maybe 5 rounds, and was stopped all three times.

You can throw out the Williams and McBride fights as Tyson was past his best by then, but I think there is a valid point. In these fights when Tyson had to face adversity, he folded like a bridge chair.

He's not going to roll over Vitali. No way. Tyson's uppercut would be useless here and he would need to get up close to land his hook or cross. Tyson to me swelled up fast, and did not retain his pace in the mid to late rounds.

    Vitali via TKO here.

Right, but Vitali Klitschko is NOT, Douglas, Holyfield or Lewis and he has not shown anything to say he belongs in that group

Its well known that Tyson turned up out of shape for the Douglas fight
Holyfield is an ATG with an Iron chin and even he took masive shots from Tyson, would VK survive those? Whats VK going to do when Tyson brings the heat?
Tyson was 15 years past his best when he fought Lewis and still lasted just as long as "Iron chinned" Vitali. Also look how cautiously Lennox boxed a shot old Tyson and compare the poorer version that Vitali faught. Lennox gave VKs so called power absolutely no respect.
He took way more punishment from Lewis than VK did.
Tyson folded? in whcih fight did he fold?
Douglas Kod him and he finished that fight on his feet. Holyfield stopped him and he finished that fight on his feet. Lewis is the only one who KHTFO

If anyone folded it was Vitali Klitschko....See Chris Byrd and Lennox Lewis

VK may have a high KO percentage, its mainly over taxi drivers. And his so called Iron chin? whose he actually fought? he only ever fought one decent puncher and that was Lewis and after a few rounds, VK was doing the chicken dance.

You should watch Tyson was Ruddock and then question his heart and chin...VKs got nothing Tyson hasnt seen before.

All 3 guys who beat Tyson put a sustained beating on him from the start, VK was in the trenches right from the start against Lennox...the only decent fighter he fought. Sorry i dont see VK Koing Tyson. If anything i see Tyson putting a sustained beating on VK and stopping him late, winning on cuts or winning on the scorecards.

Vitali doesnt have the footwork to avoid and confuse Tyson. And his pit pat jab isnt going to deter Tyson from coming forward.

You question Vitali's chin? Show me one who took harder shots than the Lewis uppercut or the sanders left to the temple on film, and did not go down. By the way, Vitali was up 4-2 on all three cards over Lewis. He could certainly out box Tyson, just like Douglas, Holyfield, and Lewis did!

You don't think Vitali is better than Douglas? Way off. If you don't think Tyson folded in a few fights, we are not close to even having a debate, because he did.

Tyson was done vs Douglas and Holyfled. The ref saved him from further punishment. Had it gone on, Tyson takes the count. In fact Tyson did not beat the count vs. Douglas. Tyson " finished the fight " with his mouthpiece on back wards.

Tyson finished both fights on his feet. Vitali finished both fights on his ass on the stool. Whose the quitter?

I believe Douglas would beat Vitali H2H, as would Holyfield and well Lennox...need i say more
Sanders had Vitali all over the place at the end of the first round, if it had gone on longer....

Whats your definition of folding? A guy whose there throwing shots until he gets stopped, is NOT someone who folds... To me someone who folds is someone who cant take the pain and gets pulled out, or quits like Duran.
Just like Vitali, Frank Bruno also was beating Lennox on the scorecards....until the fight was stopped. I guess Bruno would TKO Tyson too then?
Frank Bruno did better against Lennox than Vitali did. And against a Prime Young Lewis too
Winning a few rounds against an Old, near retirement Lennox Lewis and then getting stopped...does not qualify someone to beating a Peak Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson wins this by TKO 6/7 on cuts or ref stoppage to save a wobbly Vitali. IF it goes the distance, Tyson takes the Decision 9-3 on the cards for a 12 Rounder. Tyson wins by putting on the pressure and taking Vitali to war, a place with a pace and range the big bully hates. Vitali had 1 war when he faced 38 year old chubby-bodied Old Lewis, and he got his face shredded to fresh raw mincemeat and was drunkenly staggering about and hugging to survive in rounds 5 and 6 becuase he was too gassed and too hurt to fight back. Tyson could win tough hard wars, he did win wars with Bruno 1989, Ruddock 1991 two times, and Botha 1999. He lost 1996 war with Holyfield, but Holyfield is a true legendary atg warrior. Even 1999 Old Holyfield would beat 2001-2004 Prime Vitali.

I wasn't bashing Tyson for beating guys to quick. I was just pointing out that he only had one late stoppage win.

Chris Byrd was an injury loss that required surgery. Vitali was beating Byrd easily with one good shoulder. He quite because he did not want to rick permanent the injury, and cost himself a career.

Unlike Tyson, Wlad has actually got off the deck to win a match. We know you hate the K-bros, Fighting Weight. Must be hard to be you as they have won 17 combined matches in a row, and will likely take all 4 major wold belts before the end of the year.

Lol Tyson quit on the ropes vs. McBride, asking the ref to help him up. This is hard to top. Vitali did not stop the Lewis fight, the ring doctor did. And as we know, Lewis avoided the re-match. Tyson wanted out in his re-match with Holyfield, and had to resort to cowardly biting.

Don't forget why he's called Iron Mike. We've all seen Tyson take some Brutal punishment and Survive. Look at some of the blows a shot Tyson took against Lewis before he
got stopped. Tyson's head movement, speed and power would be too much for Vitali.
Tyson would have no fear breaking down Vitali with body shots, before stopping him by
KO or TKO via left hook, uppercut, or right straight or cross.
