He is still green......you gotta think....He never fought anyone that was a great fighter. He had a couple of decent names on his ledger but nothing like BHOP.

After this fight JP can no longer claim to be green. He had 24 rounds of PhD LEVEL education in the sweet science with proffessor hopkins. He's either gonna become better or he's gonna flunk out of the hard knocks university.

I hope we see a better Jean from this which I think we will.

He didnt improve at all from the 1st fight imo and made no adjustments, so I doubt he improves from this fight. he needs a new trainer imo. You could hear the inexperience in the corner by the instruction he was getting. Night and day from Bernards corner with Nazim. Props to Nazim too, great job in the corner as always. Great trainer and does a great job articulating the gameplan to Hopkins. Great chemistry there

You're right...he didn't improve at all from the first fight. But I think a lot of that is attributed to not being MENTALLY in the game. Nard took him out and it was more clear when he started the whole accusations about Nard being dirty and demanding that he take tests.

That's a sign of weakness and being unsure of yourself. That only gave Nard MORE fuel for his internal flame in making history. They absolutely have better chemistry in the Hopkins corner and the trainer is on anther level but JP is young...he's a fighter with a lot of talent.

JP could do a lot with the right styles....Nard is a problem for anyone but moreso for someone like JP who fights in spots. A guy like Joe C who is a work man in that ring has more of a chance to take advantage of Nard's age and physical disadvantages that come with being an OLD MAN.

Reminds me of what Tommy Morrison said after getting KTFO by Lennox Lewis. He said he was still learning and would have to go back to the drawing board. The interviewer (I think it was Jim Gray) said, "but Tommy, you've had 49 fights...haven;t you learned to block punches by now?". Tommy wasn't happy about that comment.

    Lol.

And as for JP's comment, I assume it was more of just "Thinking out-loud" to himself as to why he lost. I wouldn't read too much into what a man says after he loses a fight and his belt.

What's wrong about seeing one's own flaws, and wanting to improve??

He's 28 in an old man's division. He didn't seem destroyed by these fights, if he wants to, he can use the experience to become a better fighter.

You guys kill me. If he said "I know I am an ATG champ" after the fight, then you would be calling him a dick.

errrr, Bhop showed everyone that Pascal is really a B+ fighter. He's one dimensional and his behavior is exploitable. Bhop literally did every trick in the book to get a mental edge on Pascal. Just because he was a champion doesnt automatically make him an A class fighter lol.

The division is weak, and those who are on top are not even busy fighters, they're minimalists. They try to do the MINIMUM to get the win. Lackluster fights caused by lackluster fighters.

Its not to hard to beat a minimalist. Bhop showed that a good mental edge and outworking a minimalist will get you the win, even as a diminished version of himself....

would love to see that, though wouldnt happen prob. Froch is WAY TOO BUSY for Pascal. And how Froch has reached a new level of ability, i dont think anyone would care to match up with him, unless its some under dog who's got something to prove and nothing to lose....

I think Pascal fights only in spots because he has stamina problems. He looks a bit over-muscled in his weightclass. I mean.... for a young fighter to be outworked so severely by an old guy who's not known for his own output? Something doesnt add up right....
