DLH-Pacquiao Post fight analysis.. What a difference 3 years makes!

****. Pac should have never fought Oscar for the money fight and instead fought those top 135ers. He could have been never known in the mainstream boxing.

 

The Oscar that fought Ruelas (lightweight) would KO pac @ light weight.. Oscar was faster than pac back then plus had that left hook that KO'd men with chins similar to pacs.. Pac was able to throw everything at Oscar without worry of anything meaningful coming back. 15 years ago Pac would be tasting that vicious left hook and Pac's chin would not absorb it too well. When young, fast oscar opens up. Watch the fuk out.

Oscar has a lot more life against Floyd than he did Manny, and he was already faded then. Oscar was just a shell by the time Manny got to him. Oscar was a great fighter in his earlier years. The Manny fight is really the last one I think of when I think of Oscars great career, as it should be for everyone.

 

That's exactly why Floyd doesn't want this fight. He knows exchanging with PAC means the "RISK" of losing or even worse...getting KO'd is exponentially increased.

 

It's safe to say that a prime DLH would have done a LOT better. He may have been able to beat PAC....sure. It's possible. But based on his two fights with PAC and Floyd one can make the case that without a doubt, he'd beat Floyd. Winning a split decsion against DLH in 2007 was a surprise for everyone. Most felt Floyd would dominate DLH and most felt DLH would Dominate PAC. The exact opposite happened in both fights.

 

Yea, a young, prime Oscar would have beaten Floyd. It's tough to argue that seeing as an old Oscar was beating him after 9 rounds.

 

Pac makes his foes reduce their punch output. De La Hoya, Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley are good examples.

Only those who fight fire with fire will have a chance. But they can either get knocked out, beaten up, or get a lucky punch here and there.

That is not really a good example Ruelas had terrible footwork and was there to be hit!

 

3 years ago he had power, speed and stamina. But no one accused him PEDs

Now he still has power, speed, and stamina, but now an alleged roider.

When DLH fought Floyd, it was apparent that something was a little off even though he looked in good shape and trained his ass off for the fight and took it seriously. When he fought Pac, it was apparent that he had nothing to offer and was going to get slaughtered. Even Roach himself said he noticed marks on his arm from the IV they had in Oscar trying to hydrate him.

Let's put it in easier terms... Oscar was 85-90% against Floyd ...40-50% Against Pac.

 

So is pac one he steps in with a good counter puncher and someone that actually has speed. Mosley of 10 years ago would tear his ass up too.
