I think it's time to talk about this fight. After watching the way Hopkins beat Pascal, i think his fight vs Ward would be a very even match up. Both fighters fight very close to the same cause both are dirty fighters that likes to hit and hold to bully their opponents. Ward has the advantage over Hopkins is speed. Hopkins has the advantage as a big time veteran and i think Hopkins is a better slicker fighter with a better pop imo. Who wins if this fight ever happens? I got Hopkins by ud.

REAL BAD mismatch for B-hop, in my book

the pace he fights at really works into Ward's style of fighting. And i will guarantee there's no fighter out there who has more mental strength, grit, and will to win than Ward.

B-hop is definitely a true champion. Pascal is honestly not that great of a fighter. And he was well-exploited mentally. Bhop did every trick in the book to get in his head. Ward is the last guy that would break. In fact, he's proven to break down the grinders who usually mentally break down their opponents due to roughhouse tactics (Miranda, Bika)

Its pretty well known Ward has all the savvy and ability of a veteran, and probably the most versatiled fighter out there. I mean, his win vs Abraham was completely lopsided.... AND he wasnt able to even do his PLAN A! The puerto rican ref wouldnt let him booth AA up.

The LAST person Bhop would choose to fight on earth would be WARD. He needs to fight someone who's exploitable - Ward is not that fighter at all.

Lets not go overboard here, Pascal and Ward are very different fighters. Pascal was clueless on the inside last night, got outjabbed from the outside and could not maintain a decent pace over 12 rounds, against Froch he also slowed down as the fight went on, couldn't deal with Froch's jab and as a result got outboxed.

Ward on the other hand can fight on the inside, is good at negating an opponents jab, can fight dirty effectively (like Hopkins), and is about a million times better at controlling distance and tempo than Pascal.

I'd take Ward by UD. Ward is a very skilled, fast, poised, smart boxer, who can also fight rough. He's all wrong for Hopkins. Hopkins likes taking flawed, emotionally vulnerable young fighters to 'old school'. He won't be able to do that to Ward. Dawson, maybe, but not Ward.

Ward wins right now in all probability. A very ugly fight.

Ward wins by about 4 points. Both guys are smart , but the key is speed.

I concur totally. Pascal looked rattled from the first bell. Hopkins got under his skin big time and Hopkins feeds on that. I don't think he can repeat that with Ward.

Hopkins also got seriously rocked in this fight a few times too many. He may not have taken many punches but some of them clearly hurt him. He walked to the wrong corner in one round after a big bomb.

Ward is willing to do what it takes to win and against a low volume puncher like Hopkins the recipe is simple. Outwork him.

Damn close fight I dont think Ward could rock Bhop as Pascal did, plus he couldnt try any of those dirty tatics, Bhop would take him to school with that sh1t!

I see maybe Ward sneaking out a very unconvincing SD.
