    :patsch:rofl:rofl

Trinidad blown up WW, DLH blown up Ww, Wright who lost to Williams after Bhop and worse Harry Simon ( also did a BHop beating up big names of smaller men):patsch:lol: Tarver BUM, Pavlik? bum. Taylor, Froch smashed him, Johnson JOURNEYMAN....

Add in Robin Reid, Woodhall, Bika, et all if you're gonna be that biased.:lol:

End of the day, Calzaghe proves himself over Hop due to the fact he outboxed a prime Hop when he was old, shot, bloated an broken handed. The original thread ttitle is ''who is the better fighter'' Hopkins has on paper a better resume until its investigated, but Calzaghe is the better fighter.

    Deal with it:deal:smooch

The east and Welsh Ottke stand nearly shoulder to shoulder. Sven just needed to catch one faded great at LHW and escape with a narrow victory (after getting dropped in the first round) and retire and they would be matching statistical bookends.

I cant really take you that seriously since your from England. But il try to be respectful here:

1.MW Trinidad was still amongst the best P4P fighters in the world, he destroyed Joppy at MW (Hopkins went 12 rounds with him). Trinidad was the favourite to win that fight. Trinidad still had a good left hook and decent speed. Trinidad was beaten because Hopkins simply BOXED him, if Hopkins mauled him and threw Marciano like shots against his arms and Duran'd him with bodyshots then maybe you have a point here, but the truth is that he used the sweet science to destroy Trinidad

    2. Beating DLH is beating DLH. I dont care if its a MW version or not, it was a fight that was well needed for the career of Hopkins in order to advance into bigger things. Hopkins already cleaned out the division, it is CUSTOMARY for fighters to defend their title against guys moving up and that has been happening since the 1890s. DLH was also far from blown up giving Hopkins a much better fight than Trinidad

3.Did you even watch the Wright fight? Wright fought extremely well up until the late rounds. HE WAS COMING OFF BIG WINS OVER QUARTEY AND TAYLOR. yes i said it, Wright was robbed against Taylor. And the loss you mentioned against Harry Simon was in 1998 LOL..why would you bring that up? And the Williams loss was TWO years after the Hopkins loss, and he looked visibly shot in that fight

    4. Tarver is not the best opponent out there, but better than Bika, Woodhall and Reid :patsch

    5. Pavlik was supposed to be the guy who would finally knock out the old man Hopkins, let me tell you something Anglosaxon, most people on ESB were convinced that he would beat Hopkins, so is he a bum? a guy who was 34-0 and middleweight champion? No is the answer, Hopkins just whooped him

    6. Hopkins was the only man to ever actually stop Glen Johnson, if he was a journeyman he would have never beaten RJJ,Tarver, Woods, Dawson, Griffin (and countless times he has been robbed)

Also the title of the thread says "Who is the greater fighter" not "better"
And Hopkins is indeed the greater

Hopkins, hes still beating down quality fighters deep into his 40's.

If they didn't rob him against Taylor twice his resume would be even greater.

    No.

Calzaghe's reign at SMW was as good (possibly slightly better or slightly worse) than Bernard's MW reign.

Calzaghe's defeat of Calzaghe is better than Bernard's defeat of Tarver.

But Bhop beating Pavlik decisively was where he edgeed ahead.

And last night, he clinched things in the 'greatness' department.

calzaghe will beat all hopkins beat by points. calzaghe's boxing skills is underrated by many.

but legacy wise, what had been done, hopkins is greater than calzaghe.

Trinnidad was still a blown up WW, ODLH still a blown up WW. and the thing that nullifies your whole argument... SHOT,BLOATED OLD BROKEN JOE OUTBOXED PRIME HOP FOR 9 OF THE 12 ROUNDS ON HIS HOME SOIL:patsch:lol::lol::deal

How can you be better than someone that beat the **** out of you and never lost?:patsch:-(

    Your argument is very weak

    Heres why:

Ken Norton beat Ali, does that mean Norton is the better fighter and greater? No

Roberto duran lost to Benitez, does that mean Benitez is the greater fighter? NO

JCC lost to DLH, does that mean DLH is the better man? NO

Joey Maxim beat Sugar Ray Robinson, does that mean hes the greater fighter? NO

I hope you realise by now that a legacy and the debate of "greatness" far exceeds single performances.
