    Of course.

Tommy Morrison became greater than Tommy Gunn and an advocate for abstinence when his leftover, George Foreman, beat Michael Moorer for the HW title.

"skyrocket" seems a little over the top but it was an impressive display. Hopkins is no easy deal.

    :lol::rofl

Come on I dont like Calzaghe or anything. But Hopkins did annihilate guys... BUMS.

Every time he has been against good guy, around his own size we have seen what happened.

Quiet hick. If I want to hear about you and your tales of butt slamming some pigs I'll give ya a holler. Got that gimp?

The judge that scored for Hopkins was also the same judge that scored for Calzaghe against Lacy (119 - 107).

Joe was ****ing crap at the Thomas & Mack that night. He looked to be by FAR the inferior athlete in the ring. The prevailing opinion in Vegas that night throughout the casinos was either about how old BHOP was and that he should retire and about how shitty the unknown white guy was in the ring with him.

The punch stats were either filled in by Connor Calzaghe or a blind man. They had nothing to do with reality or quality. Joe landed almost nothing cleanly over 12. The total was closer to 50 to 60 punches - THAT IS ALL. They were both dismal.

    Nice avatar dork.

If Hopkins starts getting more balanced reviews from the British contingency then I'd say truly Calzaghe's legacy was improved.

Doubtful though since any American on his resume is apparently overrated and glass jawed hype jobs.

Boxing has been weak for a long time now. BHOP fought in a crap era.

But, I suggest you pull out the tape of Calzaghe's fights in '98, '99 and compare them with BHOPS from the mid-90s through '99 (side by side - one after the other). If you can't see the overwhelming difference in their level then you should go back to ice fishing - as it would mean you don't know **** about athletes and must be a gimp yourself. It is a big club here on ESB. Lots of opinions .. just none of them come from guys who are athletes or played anywhere except on their computer. No other explanation ...

This thread is going strong it seems.

According to 7 of Calzaghe's loyal fans, Calzaghe doesn't need to fight anymore and he rises in all-time greatness.

 On a scale of one to ten, how much would you say it hurts you to know whitey (Calzaghe) beat Hopkins?

    I'm guessing a ten.

Exactly there is a huge difference, Hopkins was the undisputed MW champion of the world and had 20 consecutive defenses of his title.

So why doesn't Joe lay off the coke for a couple of months, get in shape and come back and win a belt? Perhaps he'd like to try and take Hopkins belt, or even take on the Super Six winner?

Just ask Calzaghe aka "Lil Roy's Daddy" how good his legacy iz now. I still say he gave the worst AZZ whipping I ever seen over Jeff "What Hook" Lacy.
