Why does he feel like he should keep fighting? Why is he allowed to still get a license to fight? Why can't the ignorant ****s on this board quit acting like he is in his prime and gettng beat like this? Why can't people admit he is one of the best to ever step in the rind and their won't be another one like him?
I don't think anybody on here thinks that he still in his prime. HE wants to believe that he is still in his prime.
He can still fight, his stamina and his glass jaw is his problem. Maybe if Roy gave 100% in training he wouldn't be getting put on his ass.
Yeah, I haven't seen any posts that suggest anybody other than Roy Jones believes he is still in his prime. It really is a shame. I hope it is just an addiction of the game that is pushing him to fight more and not any money troubles.
Even he knows there is no point in fighting strong punchers. If he needs money he would fight low risk fights.
Roy,..like Holyfield, still believe in themselves.....only dif is that Roy keeps gettin KTFO,lol....and so too will Holyfield, sooner or later...
Yes ole Roy is going to die soon if he fights another heavy hitter. The big difference between he & Holyfield is that Evander is way older AND still in good shape. Also, the most obvious part is that Evander still has a Iron Chin. Ole Roy has a Weak Spinach Chin. His goddamned jaw is a joke...he should not be able to fight ever again. It's despicable how bad his Maxilla is
his jaw is not a joke its just been damaged. The guy has been boxing since he was 6 years old FFS...So his punch resistence was all but gone in his mid 30s to 40s what the hell do you expect. After getting KOd by Tarver he hasnt been the same. He was 35 then, and getting KOd like that at that age does damage. Then the Glen KO at 36 was even worse. But last night was surely the most damaging.
RJJ owes the IRS that is why he is fighting. I hope he can find another way to pay that debt than by boxing. I thought BodyHead Promotions was making some cash for him.
Anyone notice this about RJJ?? I noticed this after he was knocked out the first time in his career, about halfway through any fight his eyes dont look right like they are glazed over and half closed. I noticed it again when he fought Johnson right before he got KOd. Same thing in Tarver 3 and every fight since. He looked different, like hes contantly buzzed even when hes not getting hit. He never had that look before the Tarver fight. even when hes training from what ive seen, same sleepy look. Getting KOd changes any fighter, but I think he left a lot in the ring that night in 2003. Almost like the wiring in his brain changed. I really hope no commission allows him to fight again.
I think he has neurological issues Peppermint, he has already admitted to having balance issues at times and double vision, I wish he would stop putting himself through this **** or he is really going to die in the ring.
I def noticed that...started from the Johnson fight onwards. He had that sleepy, glassy look for almost the entire second half of the 3rd Tarver fight. His neurological system is trying to tell his body it doesn't want to get hit anymore.
