Anyone who claims that Calzaghe beat a "Prime" Hopkins needs to have their head examined. He was in his 40s when he fought Joe and anybody considers that his prime then they are complete idiots. Like really Stupid.

Hopkins is greater and that is pretty clear.

Hopkins has by far the better resume. Calzaghe only beat about 10 good fighters.

    Clearly hopkins.

H2h I think cal beats hopkins cos he struggles with high output fighters but hopkins has left a better legacy. He unified his division sooner, established linearity sooner, defended his true championship. Plus beat a lot of hof quality fighters. And has now spent 5 years as a top light heavyweight losing only once by split decision.

The sad thing is hopkins and calzaghe proved to be roughly equal in the ring so joe could have arguably gone onto achieve the same but he was in wrong division.

I thought Jermaine Taylor was more decisive vs BHOP...does that enhance Taylors resume more than Calzaghe, at least Taylor rematched BHOP ....Joe knew he excaped luckily

Obviously I'm American but I respect the hell out of Calzaghe, but Hopkins has a far better resume and is held in higher esteem by most in the boxing world. It's really not close.

I do, and thats why Calzaghe being UNDEFEATED and actually outboxing Hop despite everything stacked against him solidifies Calzaghe as greater....oh and the fact that Hopkins has been outboxed by Jermaine Taylor:patsch:rofl

Calzaghes never been beaten, Norton and Bene et all have, comparing flukes to a great undefeated fighter is just farcical:patsch:roll::lol:

Calzaghe OUTBOXED A PRIME Hop, and he was shot, its not a hard concept to grasp:rofl:patsch

I have come to a conclusion that you do no know much about boxing.

Benitez & Nortons wins were not flukes :patsch i cant believe you actually said that, you would be scolded by boxing scholars.
No point arguing with someone that hasnt watched many fights...

Reid "beat" calzaghe just as decisively as taylor beat b-hop.

To think hopkins has been fighting top ten opposition for 18 years now.
