"That’s what happens when you are rich and you’re bored, you start to experiment."

Ariza said that De La Hoya "has no motivation" and suggested that "he should go into rehab, get cleaned up and get back into training maybe to fight (Julio Cesar) Chavez Jr."

The strength and conditioning guru also said that De La Hoya probably hadn’t gotten over the bad beating he suffered at the hands of Manny Pacquiao when De La Hoya quit on his stool after eight rounds and retired from boxing.

I think both Hatton and ODLH should comeback.

Both should just have easy fights with huge crowds. That would change them so much mentally and then just retire on a win, because all retired fighters talk about is how going off on a loss is the worst thing.

The second Mosley fight most thought Oscar won and the same for Oscar vs Tito, but his chicken dance as many call it didnt help his cause. Disagree with Oscar having to fight again. Had he been game vs Pacman ok, but no way. Just look at Mosley him and Oscar are of the same era. Oscar and Mosley dont belong in todays era just as Floyd and Manny dont in Oscars and Shanes.

I read that he was actually planning to come back, but Shaffer and the people around him would not support that unless he got himself cleaned up and that was the most important thing. Apparently they didnt even want him making public appearances cause they were afraid of embarrassment for GBP. I think things were a lot more out of control for ODLH than we even know so far. The only thing that he should be thinking about is getting his life together, not boxing.

To suggest that DLH make a comeback is absurd.

A comeback could only lead to disaster, that could only make it more likely that DLH sink himself further into drugs as a result of that disaster.

What DLH needs to do is get himself together and adjust his life to deal with no longer climbing a boxing ring.

Ariza a bozo. How the hell can he say that a top boxing promoter like DLH is bored.

Its not boredom, its just bad choices.

Coming back will not change anything he can't fight forever. If he comes back, once his comeback is over he's back at square one again trying to cope with life without boxing. He should move on and get his **** straight which it looks like he's doing, returning to the ring will just start the cycle all over again and might have far worse results.
