DLH-Pacquiao Post fight analysis.. What a difference 3 years makes!

Oscar was 10 years past his prime with both speed and power diminished to a shadow of what it once was. When Oscar was young, he used to bounce and wasn't flat footed, and maneuvered around the ring a lot better. The version that faced Pac was a slow, flat footed Oscar, and one that even Roach said couldn't pull the trigger.

Oscar respected Trinidad's power and fought a smart fight and easily won. Everbody knows that. I think he should have opened up more and would have KO'd Trinidad IMO. He was playing it safe though but still dominated Trinidad for 9 rounds.
To say he lost against all the elites is pushing it. He beat Tito, many thought he beat Mosley in their 2nd battle, beat an old but still very game Chavez twice, which he should be credited for since people give manny credit for beating a shot oscar. And be beat Pernell Whitaker. He beat a handful of ATG's. Manny has beat even more but Manny is picking on guys way past prime or slipping fighters.

 

Yet by most accounts and old and drained DLH is Pac's biggest victory:deal

Oscar's best win that I saw live was Vargas.

Vargas sucked as he got fatter and older.

He was nothing special. As was Oscar. This guy was a f'n hypetrain. Good looks and being this 'american' guy. what a god damn joke.

• P4P #1 in 97-98, above prime Roy Jones.

You also have to give credit to Pac who went 3 divisions higher. He's natural born athlete and he has carried his speed and power in the higher weight division.

 

Pac went 3 divisions higher. That evens up the handicap.

 

As you wish; Compare those two wins against DLH's best two wins!

Better yet, compare the 2 biggest wins on DLh, Pac and FLoyd's resume and
tell me who comes on top!

So by your logic, weight draining an older version of ODLH was no different than beating him at a weight where at the time he was one of, if not THE top dog? DLH was a very live dog at that point(when he fought Floyd), in other words, not the shell of/shot version that Pac fought at WW.
