He was clearly doing something as he kept winning. When you step up the comp, you can't fight the better guys the same way you did the lower level guys. Hell, he could be like Bute and knock out a bunch of those one dimensional come foward figheters that you described. However, he fought some live guys instead. Knocking out guys like Tarver and Johnson is no easy task. What cost Dawson against Pascal was the fact that he wasn't prepared for Pascal to fight the way he did. Pascal danced around and then ambushed Dawson. In the later rounds, Dawson started to turn it on before the fight was stopped from that cut. A lack of killer instinct costing him would be if he had Pascal hurt bad and didn't follow up or if he tried to sit on a lead and got outpointed. That's not what happened. Dawson is a flawed fighter, but he hardly sucks.
Some of yall need to man up and actually go box. Learn how tough it is before you start throwing out that one of the best men active doing it sucks. Freaking disgusts me. He's not the best fighter at 175, but he's one of them, he's fast, strong, talented, and skillful, and he rearranged a former champions face and schooled him on points. Not the ballsiest fighter, boring style, but to say he sucks or is even simply good is laughable. That goes for anybody dogging any pro, for that matter.
I'll agree. It obviously takes a lot of skill, and desire to get to the level he's at and I have the utmost respect for every fighter. Chad doesn't suck, hes a top level fighter and has a lot of tools but he is missing something. At least for right now. I hope he comes back and fights hungrier.
Dawson would kill Cloud are you kidding me Boom Boom? Why are you hyping a dude with no skill and just decent power? Dawson would school Cloud, it wouldnt be close. I dont even know if Cloud is better then Diaconu.
Chad Dawson fights very well, great boxing skills, good footwork. I like the way he fights. Great win for Dawson in Canada.
those are like punching bag highlights. jk he's got talent but seems to have been uninterested yesterday. And the audience reacted the same way (bored and uninterested).
Chad has all the tools, he just needs a little more fire in his belly. Manny is the right person for the job.
