I'll have to re-watch it but on the night, at the O2, I had Degale win by 3 rounds...

I didn't even think it was that close to be honest and despite coming to support George Groves I was reluctant to celebrate...

I remember thinking groves won by two before the decision came in, was deserved IMO

it seems round 5 is the contentious round.

I had 115-114 Groves. Degale just looked lost the first half of the fight, and that's what lost him it for me. I wouldn't argue if it was a draw or if Degale won by 1, it was very close.

What was Jim Watt's card? I am yet to see the sky coverage.

are we scoring as it should have been done?

DeGale should have had 2 points taken off for blatant fouls, the shoulder charge in particular, because if thats the case groves by 4

    Groves 115-113.

There are several close rounds, a few could have gone either way, especially the 5th and 7th, maybe the 8th and 12th too.

The key in this one is that DeGale spent too much time following Groves throwing pitter patter, even though George was on the back foot he was throwing more and landing more.... to me ''being the aggressor'' is cancelled out and more by defence and the old favourite, ring generalship.

DeGale didn't make Groves work hard enough to get those seven rounds in the bank. Anderson pressured Groves and threw lots, despite losing the rounds he was emptying the tank throughout the fight until he gassed himself.

Hopefully we'll see a return down the line, for now I'd like them to go their separate ways.

  10. i was hammered but always thought george won but thought degale would get it due to him being warren fighter etc but we went mental at the 02 when he won lost my voice as well.

DeGale says he definitely won the last 4 rounds... well round 10 was probably the easiest round to score and it was Groves' by a mile.

Yes, i noticed that. One thing that can certainly be said of DeGale is thats hes not particularly bright.

I had it even but i do think degale should have been docked a point so justice was done. degale threw the fight away he nearly had george down in the 9th yet got demolished in the 10th shows his lack of experience
