Hopkins is increasingly vulnerable, and if Pascal was able to hurt him a few times in their two fights, Moore would likely finish the job. He might be down on the cards when it happens though.

    Burton,

Ol' Moore did better with stationary dude's who looked to rumble at close range when he was a 175 lb. fighter / champion; not heavyweight... Marciano was too much, but that's another tale all in itself... The KO loss to Clay in '62 is not worth discussing...

I see "The Hopper" being too spry and technical for '58 or '59 Moore at 175 pounds.... After all, B-Hops ain't no Yvon Durelle.... Moore could still wallop like the Dickens, but he was prolly too slow to catch B-Hops in a 20 X 20 ring.....

    NOTE:

Pascal nailed B-Hops good last night in rds 4 and 12, but while Pascal is a wee bit young, green, wild and energetic, B-Hops still ate the shots well and was able to regroup.... Pascal can punch.... He gets respect there....

    Hops W15 Moore

    Fellas,

Please, ease up on the drinks..... Moore of '58 was not as fast with his hands or feet as Jean Pascal is in 2011..... Moore might have a bigger punch at 175, but what good is power if you can't land the bomb? By 1958, Ol' Moore was plodding around looking for openings on opponents who would engage him....
    :deal

Even a 46 year old Hops appears way too quick and spry for '58 Moore...:hey:think

I'm not saying B-Hops is a greater or better 175 lb. champ, but I will say '11 Hops beats '58 Moore over 15 rds on points.....
    :hi:

you're saying hops is too technical for moore. which is kind of funny considering that hopkins is the guy poring over Moore's tapes for every trick and tidbit he can find.... If you're saying Moore can't deal with the speed edge, sure, maybe. But you have to admit that Hopkins couldnt run from Moore for 12 let alone 15 and try that clinching ****. He'd get absolutely destroyed on the inside by the mongoose.

Destoyed? No... Tuff fight? Yes... I think '11 Hops has the stamina, energy & conditioning to remain tactical and spry for 15 rds against '58 Moore and out-box the Mongoose for the nod...

If Moore floored Marchegiano and a young spring Hopkins was floored by Segundo Mercado and down from a bodyshot against a well done Roid Jones (only the faking and acting saved him from the fate of Virgil Hill) ,
where does it lead to then ? does anyone else see how it combines ?
Moore is in fact overrated but Hopkins is way more overrated. HGH was not around in Moore's days , and even if roidz were , they were not as good , exact and efficient as today , neither as cheap .

Def win for Moore, maybe even several KDs, or KO/TKO.

Hm, nobody ever knocked Hopkins out and even if Moore is the most likely to do so, it´s not this version of Moore guys. Sorry. Moore beats him but he ain´t knocking him out.

I think Moore at this juncture might have actually been too slow and immobile. Pascal hit and hurt Hopkins cause of hand speed that the older Archie didn't have.

Bernard lately actually fights young, Archie visibly ages as his career went on.

I'd take Bernard in the upset decision. I don't think he's declined very much(Which is unreal) and I think Archie had declined quite a bit more, and would struggle with a more elusive target.

Take it back a few years, take them both back a few years even, I'd reverse that. But Bernard looked really, really spry last night. Fast, mobile, coordinated.
