Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe decisively in a rematch. Yes/No?

No, I would never suck up to a poster like him. Sorry ****, I don't come here to try and pretend to be besties with others. Besides, I replied to YOU you ****in ****.

My post stands on it's own...you are the biggest piece of **** who uses nothing but boxrec. And anyone with a brain who sees you post about resumes can see how transparent you are. You write about AL these fighters yet don't know jack **** about them. That is why you are just a horrible poster. That and being a total homer...:patsch

who knows, it probably would have been close again, id bet on calzaghe just on workrate alone, hopkins looked knackered in that fight

Calzaghe retired after Hopkins and Jones finally got in the ring with him, that was three years ago, Hopkins and Jones are still boxing, Hopkins was 95% prime when he fought Calzaghe, Calzaghe was 75% prime at best, his were hands shot, his motivation to train was on the wane, Calzaghe was younger in years than Hopkins when they fought but was further from his peak than Hopkins and closer to retirement.
If both Hopkins and Calzaghe were at their peak Calzaghe still wins.

this is interesting. obviously hopkins would win now but straight after?

hopkins is old , hes great against fighters who are limited or lazy now but he would still have problems with joes stamina. do think hopkins has improved since then but he aint fought no one like joe

Calzaghe always wins after the first fight. Calzaghe is not Tarver or Pascal.

I can go for this. I agree, I think he would of always had problem with Joe's workrate and good reflexes but because he's the more skilled fighter, he would of always been able to outbox Joe and land clearner blows than him, no matter how many times they fought. A prime Bernard would dominate Joe even more. You made the most objective post out of everyone so far.

I think B-Hop would take a decision is a rematch but it would still be close. The first fight was a razor close decision that could have gone either way and Hopkins with his high ring IQ is the type of guy that will always be much better in rematches after he's had chance to figure out someones style. He was never hurt in the first fight and he did drop Calzaghe

agreed, but most people on this site are chronic nuthuggers. in fact, 90% of esb posters are either calzombies or *******s. so to make a thread that makes sense really doesn't make much sense on this site.

Gee kid you're something else huh?

How many posts is that in the past few hours spaz-e?

Ya just chelp, chelp, chelp .. got that need for attention really building up in ya huh? You're like a little poodle.

Why don't you entertain everyone with something about your life ... I've got a second and could use a laugh ... or a reason to feel sorry for you.

Are you Joe's paper boy, chimney sweep, or just one of his new special young friends from the toilets?

Listen kid, stay off the internet and get your little hairless ass back in school - perhaps there will be jobs in a few years if you clean up your attitude, 180, learn how to actually spell "assassin", and wag your tail just a little bit.

Come back in a few years when you have actually done something, or grown into a man, or can do more than rattle on, and perhaps I'll take you a bit more seriously.

You can go back and read my prior posts if you want to get panicked and upset and wish to get your little heart racing. I'm just not big on on-going stone throwing matches with children. Just re-read this one over and over again if you want to imagine what I might say to you or to one of your snappy or yippy future tirades ... arf, poodle.
