The IV thing is a myth. I don't know why freddy says it, because intravenous fluids cannot be administered in the dressing room prior to the fight. It is illegal.
Nonsense. Oscar weighed 147 at the HBO unofficial weigh in. Then they jacked him with IVs. He was certainly heavier than 147 in the ring. Oscar cheated on the scales at the official weigh in. There is plenty of evidence of this. In order to avoid the $6M penalty and deflect suspicion, Oscar boiled off two more pounds instead of rehydrating overnight. Once the unofficial weight was registered on Saturday, his team frantically tried to rehydrate him and resorted to emergency measures.
this has been explained 50 times !dlh went to a dietitian and was down on weight two weeks before the fight. Ocsar did not do what boxers normally do, which is knock the weight off in the last couple of days and then gain it back.
Yeah people forget that DLH did not want to pay the penalty fee he himself agreed upon so he can beat up on the small dude. Too bad his team was too dumb to actually manage his weight correctly. Yea just saying.
DLH himself chose to make the fight at 147 in an effort to make the fight seem more credible than a cash grab. For all of Pacquiao's greatness, he wasn't really proven at 135 lbs(beat paper champ David Diaz as his only fight there), much less 147 lbs, prior to facing DLH. DLH was generally picked to beat Pacquiao prior to the fight because usually a good big man beats a good little man, especially one who hadn't proven anything at the higher weight. And I think DLH truly believed he could make the weight ok and still be in good fighting condition. Turns out he couldn't and it turns out that Pacquiao is the best Welterweight out there after the fact.
I don't know about you, but plain old regular weight-draining would have been a better option then whatever the **** Oscar tried to pull off. Oscar damn near making weight on the first episode of 24/7 was just dumb.
Maybe it wasn't in the dressing room. If Freddy said it, obviously he had no reason to play games so logical conclusion is ... it actually happened. WHOA!
No, it's a camera setting. If you notice, Pacquiao is noticeably lighter in those photos as well. Good try, though.
Freddy said they were "fresh IV marks." Fresh means within 20-30 minutes, IMO. Do you realize how quickly IV wounds close up? It takes about an hour. I have no idea why Freddy mentioned the IV marks, i think freddy likes to hear himself talk, and he says a lot of outlandish things. This being one of them.
Sure, the first pic, but Oscar is whiter than normal in all of the pics from that weigh in. Never seen his eyes look glossy like that either. I thought there were pics that look like they're blood shot but mostly just watery eyes, which is an unhealthy sign. Actually, drug addicts have that look in their eyes when they're binging or going through withdrawals, where their body is under severw trauma. Total lack of sleep can do that too.
