Right because lawsuits in Canada are directly applicable to US law.

No, but it'll show that you can't just go around making accusations without proof. If Hopkins win the lawsuit, it'll set a precedent for these kind of lawsuits, regardless of whether it's in Canada or US.

    For common courtesy/decency.....

Nobody should be going around accusing anybody of cheating without any proof.

Pascal actually faught Bhop. This was just some bull**** used to hype the fight. If he actually believed it why would he still fight him.

He was gracious in defeat and didnt really defame Hopkins character in the publics eye.

I find it funny when a boxer thinks that another boxer is on PEDs only because the other boxer has chance of beating him. Seriously. Boxing isn't like WWE or WWF.

How about you just take the test? Whats easier, a lawsuit, or getting blood drawn?

I deal with contracts all day long. The time and place to put the parameters on a deal is prior to drawing up and signing the contract. Hopkins did not refuse to take a test, it was simply not a condition put into the contract by either party. In fact, they have fought twice without enhanced testing, so Pascal's team had two opportunities to ask for it.

The fact that they did not request testing in either contract indicates that they did not have genuine concern or belief that Hopkins was using PED's.

If I sell a house and do not explicitly say the furniture is included, you do not have the right to demand the furniture right before closing.

Which matches up well with what common sense would dictate. Cool.

So we know that there was no serious belief or concern that Hopkins was on PEDs.

Which means that the only reasons for insinuating that he was on PEDs were malicious.

I wouldn't say we know, but his promoters would be doing him a grave disservice if they allowed him to sign two contracts to fight a guy they thought was on PED's and did not ask for testing. That would probably fall under misrepresentation. After all, it is setting your guy up to fail.

Another weak lawsuit that goes nowhere but this one is even worse because it has no legs, and bhop is supposed to be from the streets.
