I won't give up on him i believe he's got skills and believe from what i been told he's a nice lad away from the on camera antics which for me don't bother me. Just hope he doesn't become a ultra negative fighter. I hope he improves and goes onto to do well in the sport. He lost a close fight....both men can move on from that.
Degale is nothing but a bully. You can see that in his fight with Groves. From the very beginning before the fight was made you can tell he has been intimidating Groves (the older, stronger guy) and once things did not go his way in the ring, he tries to foul him every which way he can with shoulders, elbow etc. That was the point that turns most people off -a guy who spouts that he is miles clear of his opponent having to throw illegal blows, disregarding if the ref was there or not. Not mentioning the fact he walked right through Groves after the fight without even acknowledging him while his corner was congratulating Groves. A poor showing of a man.
My take on things is that he's a massive *****, I cannot comment on how he is away from the cameras as I have only been exposed to him on camera. As JDG has shown zero humility in defeat, I can only assume he would show less in victory. As far as I'm concerned, he should start again from the bottom to prove he's the fighter I think he is to challenge George again. DeGale should take this as a perfect opportunity to re-evaluate and take a different outlook on his career, he strikes me as the type to skip hard work and coast on natural ability.
DeGale definitely seems to have the more natural boxing skill than Groves but unfortunately he's as thick as ****. Groves won because he was more clever and had a better team behind him. DeGales is still capable of going on to great things himself but I worry that arrogance will get in the way. If he genuinely thinks he won, he won't take much from this loss.
Very well put Someone else said we are a nation born to hate & scorn, but imo we love an underdog James & his team are hard to like
I just seen the ring entrance from him, Nice touch when he bows to them brave boys and girls who serve our great nation. He might be a ***** to most of you lads but least he values our great troops.
So in as 18,000 fans boo him and he's about to enter battle him bowing was a publicity stunt?.....c'mon there's hating on the lad and then it's just getting silly. That was a show of class from the lad he didn't have to do that he could of easily went past them but he didn't he chose the acknowledge them. atsch Right back at ya...
Showing class would be to congratulate you're opponent after a fight win, lose or draw. I was a fan of Degale and thought he'd be able to back up his boasts but when **** backfired he remained the classless **** he was during the build up. The guy has zero class :deal
Yeah i know i dunno he don't offend me that much maybe cos i'm used to his sorta behavior cos of area i'm from etc...
No i mentioned the moment he entered ring, i never once mentioned the after fight antics and has nothing to do with what i mentioned. I said it was a touch of class to do what he did and i stand by that. I think yourself and others look to nitpick any reason to hate on DeGale. Fine you dislike him and he's lost and is hurting badly right now i can imagine. Enjoy it rather then a ton of posts that from my POV show no class in victory....people wanna talk about class and then when it's all said and done call him allsorts and wish the guy bad.. Not every poster but a large majority...
