In boxing you have your name to protect...not just the physical aspect. At this level you need that name to get you fights.

Not ALL Whites (nor all blacks) support boxers based on on race.

My top ten HW list has nine blacks, including eight American blacks.

My alltime top six boxers (based on pure boxing skill) are ALL black Americans.



I will usually root for the Irish boxer (if there's one in the fight), but other than that, I usually base it on the individual boxer.

The damage of a statement is considered in context. If another Boxer is called a chump and subsequently KTFO can he sue the other Boxer for ruining his future fights by lowering his purses?

You follow or don't enter into the contract. If you can deal with the slander than don't test. Hopkins (and Pac) didn't.

Yes, there is an element where people follow a boxer based on their race rather than anything else. That is not a good thing.

 

See I generally like boxers and then boxer-punchers. If it's two guys with styles I favor fighting, I generally go with the American.

No one is turned away from Blood testing kid. We just have a bunch of big mouths talking about it rather than being about it.

Floyd is the only one who stepped up and that was b/c he painted himself into a corner that he had no other choice but to follow through with his own demands.

Jean could have stepped up and been the BIGGER man if he was DEAD SERIOUS about Blood Testing. If Nard didn't want to take it, JP could have manned up and did the tests himself if he was really serious about the importance of the additional tests.

But no one is stepping up.....they expect Nard and PAC to adhere to other men's demands after they've acted so irresponsibly with their words. It absolutely makes NO sense.
