Eubank was hated for a while,as was Naz,even Lennox Lewis was booed against Bruno:lol::lol:All changes though later.
This is boxing, alot of boxers talk **** and act arrogant, its the way they get headlines.Thats the reason why someone like Chad Dawson despite being a very skilled fighter has no fan base and hardly any interest in him whatsoever.

Exactly. If everyone was a nice guy this sport wouldn't have the rivalries and the build ups. Yes i can see why people dislike his banter and way he goes about things but he won't be the last fighter to have faith in himself even if it's to far.

Tell you what boxing needs the likes of Eubank,Naz,Lewis and Bruno's back because that's the era i grew up in and why Boxing is my number 1 sport.

Kids need to be drawn into sport and needs it's good and bad guys. Panto villains and hero's.

    *Cue ''DeGale's a *****, he's nothing like them guys. He's a ***** i hope he gets KO'd.....:-(*

Come on Mand - being one of De Gales most avid supporters in the build up, you have zero credibility defending him in the aftermath -especially on personality!

The guy "performed" a ring walk, there wasn't any sentiment behind it.

DeGale has an ego and is therefore hated, which to me is insane

My crediablity isn't a issue as far as i'm concerned. I've hardly gone and said ''Groves never won!'' ''He's a cheater...''. I've held hands up and accepted his loss. Part of life and i see the bigger picture.

I stand by my comments a nice touch from the lad as i don't see him needing to do what he did and don't see it as performing.

Anyways i'm off to bed. Crack on with the hating lads :good

Moan about DeGale but I bet they would all love Eubank and Naz back in the game right now saying crazy ****:lol:

I honestly fail to see the difference though between Haye,Bellew and DeGale. They all talk trash and I fail to see a problem.Maybe its because Tony posts here?:thumbsup

Also, when DeGale doesn't have a fight coming up and he is a guest on Ringside etc he seems a nice guy and very insightful on the technical aspect of things. He can be a ***** when he has a fight coming up but so what? It makes for great build up and can you honestly say you wouldn't do all that if you had a fight coming up? I know I would.

    :deal:deal

It is that for me mate. I like Tony and he's a genuinely nice fella from asking him a question on here once and also responding to a thread i made on his performance he's a good lad.

But he's an aggressive violent trashtalker who talks about his opponent even more ruthlessly and aggressively then DeGale does (IMO I like Tony's trashtalk). Yet only a few people pick up on that the rest seem to let that slide yet claim DeGale is a ***** for calling Groves names while Groves calls him names. For me both men in lead up to bout were churlish and pathetic and anyone saying i'm chatting **** i've said it in lead up posts. I found it cringeworthy the build up really did..

I dunno....think it's a bit rich to say the least but this lot are fickle IMO and find it easy to beat a man when he's down.

Mandanda - you're one of my favourite posters, I didn't aim to annoy or discredit you.

I was picking at a small part of your earlier argument, I honestly believe that James had nothing to do with the ring walk - a trivial factor in the evening.

I was merely suggesting that as a big DeGale supporter in the build up, your opinion held no weight in the fallout due to your preconceived ideas.

Steve thanks for saying that nice of you mate :good and i know you didn't mate i was annoyed or anything just got wrong end of stick with your post Steve and got wee bit defensive .

I understand what you mean and i can't argue with you, I chatted a lot of **** about the fight and discredited Groves i allowed myself to get caught up and ended up with egg on face  and rightly so. Live by the sword and die by the sword.

I'm a big DeGale fan as you know and still am and yes your right i think my trashtalking predictions have lost any weight on this subject to many cos i'm seen a hugger

The crying about the mean things DeGale said is absolutely cringeworthy. I hate faux moral outrage. Especially when its about a naive kid. He called him ugly kid, he didn't petrol bomb Groves house.

And yeah...he lost...so lets rub it in. Thats sinking to a level of character as bad if not worse than DeGale.

**** knows what its gonna be like if Haye loses.
