Just watched the Aussie broadcast of the Sylvester-Geale fight card.

The fight is closer than I would have expected, Geale could barely get past
the excellent Sylvester defence, a tense performance from Geale he will do better
    with confidence.

The fight of the night was Eduard Gutknecht vs Danny McIntosh.

I watched about 7 rounds of Marquez-Pacquiao I, I think that I had Pacquiao winning 76-74. I'll watch the rest later.

    Carlos Zarate Vs J. Boyd

    Carlos Zarate Vs Jeff Fenech

Not sure what happened at the end their but it looked like once the ref ruled the cut on Fenech's head was a headbutt he looked like he kinda of quit and it went to the scorecards. The ref took a point from Zarate at the end of the round for a headbutt, so was it an accident or not, if was why wasn't he disqualified and if it was an accident why did he take the point. Scandalous. Good fight tho, Fenech was 1 relentless *******, like a far superior Katsidis, far far

    Carlos Zarate Vs Daniel Zaragoza

Fenech adapted his style around his increasingly bad hands. His most brutal performance is this one, against ATG Muay Thai fighter Payakaroon, who had stopped Pintor early and Meza late, and was a capable boxer (orthodox in Muay Thai, southpaw in boxing!) but Fenech brutalised him!

Payakaroon, who was an amazing defensive Muay Thai fighter, showing off some of his abilities here in our sport. This NEEDS to be seen :deal :deal :deal

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8U4RYXoctN0[/ame]

    And his stoppage of Pintor.

If I'm not wrong it's a WBC ruling. If an accidental headbutt causes a cut, the person who isn't bleeding gets a point deducted  Or summat stupid like that:patsch

I've not had the chance to properly watch Pacquiao vs Marquez I for ages.... but today I caught the first six rounds and scored them exactly as Lederman did - not that that's hard

    1. Pacquiao 10-6
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Marquez
    4. Marquez
    5. Marquez
    6. Marquez

56-55. It's interesting that Lederman gave the fight to Pacquiao by five points, so apparently JMM only won one of the last six rounds. That's preposterous.

All my mates think I'm off my rocker saying that I give Marquez a chance in the 3rd fight.... they've only seen him against Mayweather though :-(

Still, I've took £30 each off a couple of them because they had Pac knocking out Clottey, Margo and Shane and I told them to bet with me instead of the bookie :yep

    I think that I pressed '7' instead of '6'. ;)

I had Marquez winning 113-112, rounds 7-10 weren't nice to score. And I've watched half of the second fight, 58-57 to Pacquiao ATM.

Fenech is great to watch. Hes great against Callejas, who was a quality fighter but just gets brutalised.

I love it in that fight when Zarate runs over and 'tags' Fenech, and Jeff goes mental.

    Good performance from Craig. :good

O'Donnell has some terrible habits though. Not a nice fighter to watch.

Over the last few days I've been watching and scoring some so-called controversial fights:

Castillo vs Mayweather I: 114-112 to Castillo.
Mayweather vs Castillo II: 116-112 to Mayweather
Holyfield vs Lewis I: 116-112 to Lewis
Sturm vs De La Hoya after 6 rounds: 58-56 to Sturm. The problem is, Sturm is showing good accuracy and is clearly affecting de la Hoya, but he's not throwing combinations and his output is too low, especially when he's in Las Vegas with DLH as the massive favourite.

I scored it 115-113 to Sturm. But I was listening to the Sky commentary and they were raving about DLH's combos when he wasn't landing anything. Confusing. Although Sturm should have won more convincingly by throwing a few more punches - he could have got a knockdown if he had tried really hard. That being said, he still should have won.
