I watched a couple of Tito's old fights this weekend, I remember the first time I saw him live. It was in MSG against Mayorga and I was still young so the only thing I knew about Trinidad was what my dad told me. Mayorga came out and started blasting him but Tito turned it around quickly and put one of my favorite performances of all time. I was a Trinidad fan from that point on!

Tito was a monster in his prime. Was a great fighter to watch, especially seeing him land that monster left hook. Tito was the man.

I believe Tito vs Vargas was the first boxing match that I actually fully watched as a kid. This was also when I found out I was Puerto Rican. I'm very light-skinned and don't speak spanish, so as a kid I just assumed I'm white.. As I was watching the fight I was instantly mesmorized, I would start throwing punches while watching the fight because I was so pumped. Then I remember my mom saying "Boxing is what we do in Puerto Rico, it runs in your blood too."

Really? Damn you just made me feel ****ing Old I remember watching Tito back in the day on Showtime Maurice Blocker....

Let me say this though I am and old ****er here, Boxing was so much better back in our day, Honestly you want to know how good boxing was?

We tuned in to watch our B level fighters, we watched our C level club fighters on Tuesday night fights on USA at the Blue Horizon, we watched them on Fox Sunday night fights, and of course FNFs as well...

Today people dont even watch the top fighters and the networks have cut off most boxing shows that we once had...

Just look at the avi son, look at the avatar:yep

Tito, Erik Morales, and Manny Pacquaio are my FAVORITE fighters of the last 20 years........Just exciting as hell to watch, and if you notice, they fought mostly BIGGER guys....

After Roy Jones, Tito had the best left hook of recent memory, and you could tell that he was not only fighting for himself, but he had Puerto Rico on his back.....

Wasn't the quickest, but his will was 2nd to none......

TRULY, the last fighter that gave me chills when he fought!!! Big Aura:smoke
