Really enjoyed the Groves post fight presser, comes across really well. Level headed, humble, realistic, ambitious and good sense of humour. Win or lose from now, George you've gained another fan!

i can see that score, if two of the close rounds go to degale.
but i could also see the same score the other way.

    i personally had it 114-114

I don't care about or follow either fighter but I thought DeGale clearly won the fight, he pressed the action and landed the better punches. When DeGale stopped punching nothing was happening in the ring, Groves fought a negative fight and he shouldn't be proud of that win. The only time Groves showed any aggression was in the final few rounds and he was coming off second best during those exchanges.

Groves landed plenty of solid shots of his own, it was only when blood was pouring down his face that degale could get near him. Did you see the state of degale's face?

Why do you keep on saying "Just sayin'" when you keep droning on about degale winning the fight :dead

Exactly. It was a close fight with several rounds that were hard to score. I had it even as well but a close decision either way is reasonable and in no way a robbery. Thats just the way close fights are sometimes and whilst I can understand James feeling pissed off that he lost the decision (any fighter would in a close fight like that) he needs to give George his props and use it to motivate him for a future rematch. I'm not sure that he has that mentality though which is a shame because he has the potential to be a great fighter. At least Groves realises that journey, James thinks he's already there and its clear from the video that his team havent learnt anything from that fight.

Degale and McDonnel need to take responsibility for the loss and not blame the judges. They can only score what is in front of them, and from 3 judges not a single one scored the fight to Degale.
