It seems we've been riding a great wave of boxing matches the last few months, with a least 1 match worth watching on every weekend, with some weekends having a load of matches.

This weekend seems to break that record I think. Thankfully we're into another good run of fights after this again though.

2011 has been a much better year for fights than last year. I seems to remember there being huge long breaks in 2010 with nothing happening.

memorial day weekend in the States so nothing of note there, just happens to unfortunately coincide with what is, on paper a rather uninspiring sky card. On the bright side , Barca v United Saturday night and the munster championship gets going Sunday

    You're right, ed.

Worst week of 2011 so far.

I'm usually the last person to throw in the towel and proclaim utter doom and gloom so long as there's at least some decent action on something like a Telefutura or Fox Sports card...but man...

The fact that the heavyweight doubleheader (Arreola-Releford and Thompson-Harris) - which is beyond mediocre - stands as the highlight of the weekend makes it very, very poor.

It's to the point where serious consideration has been given to taking an out of state trip with the old lady. :-(
