Pacquaio made over $20M against Clottey and that fight did a little over 700k buys. If you don't think he could top those numbers against Ortiz or Berto, then you're the ignorant one. Mosley was clerly done when Pac fought him. That fight was a disgrace. Now he's fighting the LW champ who's 38 years old and on the decline. If you really think that there isn't any challenges in your division then you sure as hell don't look two divisions down to fight an aging and declining fighter.

You're a Pacquiao fan, so it's perfectly understandable that you defend every choice of opponent he makes. However, Jones and Mayweather got killed for supposedly handpicking opponents when they were on top of the p4p lists. Pacquiao is doing the same thing and deserves to get called out on it. He can easily turn it around with one fight, but the fans and media can't just give him a free pass when he's fighting has beens and LWs.

No I don't defend his choices.

His legacy stopped at Cotto. FACT.
The rest are just so people can't say "Pac didn't beat [insert name here] who beat [boxer he just beat up].

If he didn't face Clottey, Margarito and Mosley, these butthurt *****s will claim that any of those will beat Pac because they gave [insert boxer who Pac beat up] a helluva time.

Fact is, Pac is at the twilight of his career, he's more about the money now than the legacy.
But saying Ortiz and Berto are better choices or anyone in the LWW division for that matter is complete ignorance.

And yes, people know Clottey because of his (rather lackluster) fight against the likes of Cotto, so people will bite.
Who was Ortiz and Berto again?

Now if only you typed it this way:

Then I might understand where you're coming from.
All this trying to talk some sense doesn't connect really.

There's obviously no reason to continue this conversation. We're on two different wave lengths. You think Pacquiao has a free pass to fight whoever he wants and that the 38 year old LW champ(who previously got destroyed in his only other foray into the WW division) is a better choice then the top guys at his weight class, a class below him and a class above him.

I personally feel that due to him being the no.1 ranked fighter, and due to him charging fans $50+ to watch him fight, that he should seek the best possible fights out there. He hasn't been doing that. He's been handpicking setups. Now again, we're on two different wavelengths here. You think that's perferctly fine. That's your opinion, and we'll agree to disagree.

YES...Ortiz and Bradley, right now, are better than the version of Mosley we have seen in 2010-2011. He's done.

:thumbsup Lightweights back in the day moved up 10+ lbs to challenge WWs. Its not so much the weight as it is the age. JMM wont disappoint tho. Hes had time to get used to these higher weights by now. Pacmam better be careful JMM is still capable of producing an upset.
