Wlad is currenytly the undisputed champion.

The Klitschkos have all four titles.

Chagaev won the WBA title from Valuev (well before, and much more decisively than Haye did).

Chag made two successful defences of the WBA title and was the champion.

WBA removed his title (if you care) and then Wlad stopped Chag, making him the 'WBA champion.'

Haye's title has no legitimacy as he won it from a guy who had already lost it to Chag.

Haye has since ducked Chag and talked himself into a big money fight where he actually brings **** all that's legitimate to the table.

If he beats Wlad (possible, but unlikely) he will become a HW champion for the first time.

If the WBA 'strips' him of his title prior to the fight, the winner will still be the legitimate 3-title champ. And Vitali will have the last piece of the puzzle.

 

Exactly! Valuev probably never intended to fight that date, he likely didn't even train knowing Sauerland had bought the title for him by staging that card outside Germany.

Nikolay Valuev's defence of his WBA heavyweight crown has been called off after opponent Ruslan Chagaev failed a medical on the eve of the fight.
Their bout was due to take place in the Finnish capital Helsinki on Saturday.

WS: The Finnish Federation requested an additional test because Chagaev´s hepatitis test had shown some positive values. At first, Universum refused, and when the Finnish Federation considered a cancellation, Universum informed them that they had ordered a test in Helsinki. Then all the parties involved agreed to let the fight happen if the test was negative like the attestation from Germany. After many delays the test was handed over by Universum on Friday evening, with the result being a low, yet not totally excludable danger of infection. Subsequently, the Finnish Federation called the bout off.

Q: Was there no chance to save the fight?
WS: There was the proposal of Nikolai getting an injection within 24 hours after the fight and then again another one four weeks later. Nikolai asked for some time to think about it and wanted to speak to his doctor, who was on his way from Russia, first. However, that did not happen because the Finnish Federation informed us they would not let a fighter in the ring who suffers from Hepatitis B illness and presents a danger of infection, no matter how low.

Q: There are experts who claim that the danger of infection is as good as zero.
WS: There is a big difference between “as good as zero” and zero. During the meetings in Helsinki I offered Chagaev´s doctor and Universum to stage the fight if they confirmed in writing an acceptance of risk (underwriting). They refused.

Haye will become super champion for this fight so he wont loose hid title.

 

None of these belts or titles matter so long as the k bros remain undefeated. There can be no true champ since they aint fighting each other. This is merely 1 vs 3. The best heavyweight fight that can be made but the titles mean jack.

 

This Chagaev thing is a joke.

The man carries Hep B, which is a dangerous and debilitating condition, it's not just as simple as ''take the vaccine'', fighters in the UK are given these vaccines before they get a licence.

Over here, it was Chagaev's health that was the concern, hence why the board were reluctant to allow him to fight over here.

As for the argument of ''why not fight somewhere else'', Haye is under the juristiction of the British board, because he holds a British licence, and could have been banned/fined had he gone through with the fight elsewhere.

The WBA title should really belong to Wlad, that I think everyone accepts, but it doesn't, Haye holds it and has done for 18 months..... and they are fighting in a few week's time.
