Well given there is absolutely no guarantee of Clev-Bellew coming off, I'd fight and beat McKenzie, look impressive and call out Cleverly immediately after. Bellew still needs to prove he can handle McKenzie in my view.

How would losing to Cleverly now not be such a massive setback? If he loses decisively, the rivalry is dead in the water, and there is no guarantee of future substantial earnings.

Also, why would he defend against McKenzie? He would have won a world title, not a British or Commonwealth!

This feud is still in it's infancy in the eyes of the general public, let it build a little longer and you would have a British superfight.

If he beats Mckenzie then I would put my house on him and Clev having a fight on the box office card. Wouldnt be suprised if Warren tried to make a Groves and Degale rematch added with the Clev-Bellew fight. It woud do a shitload of buys. Also for what its worth I would gladly stick 100 quid on Clev to spark Bellew.

Ever since he said on here he could definitely make the weight and replace Braehmer against Cleverly.

Bellew has unfinished business with McKenzie and is not in fight shape yet. The fight is soon enough. Have the fight and if he wins then go straight to Cleverly for his first defence.

Clev v Bellew is deffo gonna happen now. Likely before the end of the year. If they wait too long the weight will be a factor (which would suit warren) but it seems these two will do all they can to make it happen. I was unsure who would win before Saturday but after seeing the amount of shots Clev took from the pole im now sure Bellew would do it, if that was Tony landing those you have to ask yourself "would Nathan take those kinda shots from Tony?" .........no imo

But equally, would Cleverly leave himself that open if he were in with Bellew? Cleverly was very frustrated at all the chopping around ahead of this fight, he didn't think that the stand in opponent was as dangerous as Braehmer or Bellew, so he wanted to make it entertaining, put on a show, that is my take on it. The guy was not a puncher, after all. I think that Cleverly would know to prepare for each opponent in their own right, and will adapt his style to that opponent, so if he were going in with Bellew I think that he would fight a different fight. I like Bellew, and I think that I am in a minority on here in this, but I think Cleverly wins it whenever it happens, next or later.

I would have thought if Bellew want a crack at the WBO title he would need to be higher in the rankings. Or would that get "taken care of", so to speak...?

I'm really not sure why Clev would be risking big fights and big pay days to fight a domestic rival. Just because Bellew was sort of lined up as a last minute replacement on Saturday, (more to save the show rather than as a worthy challenge), it doesn't mean the fight has to happen, yet.

People on ESB getting exicted last week isn't good enough reason either.

Bellew is a very long way off being good enough to fight Clev and win. This was the fact before he had his fluffed opportunity last week and it is the same now. Bellew is a year and several fights behind Clev and to be honest without a lot of frank Warrens magic this fight will not happen...Toney has to beat McKenzie then fight at Euro level and prove himself good enough to fight for a world title...having a world class mouth will not help him when Clev starts hitting him.

That's not how the WBO title works.

Let's see Tony perform at or near his best against Ovill and then we can talk about the Clev fight.

Perhaps not but we all know that...the fact remains Bellew is nowhere near world level, wethere it be WBO, WBC, IBF...or even WWE!
