Calslappy probably connected about 5 clean shots on Hopkins the whole fight. Throwing punches just to throw them and not land anything does not make you the winner. Look at Calslappy face at the end of the fight somebody was connecting more.

Calzaghe would never let Bernard Hopkins beat him, Hopkins would lose big in a rematch.

My girl doesn't even watch boxing and she was even trying to figure out where all those punches landed that they counted for Calzaghe. He barely even hit Hopkins the whole fight. Round 8 and 9 was the only rounds he started to land anything at all, and round 8 could of went either way. Round 9 was his best round. Other than that Hopkins was clearly outboxing him the whole fight.

I agree with you a 100%. I admit Calzaghe was a good fighter but this mythical boxer his fans portray him as is just hilarious .

    New to boxing? :think

    Calz won the first fight.
And would probably do better in a rematch.

Yea Calslappy was so confident he retired instead of facing Hopkins again.

He's saying that even though Calzghe got the decision, he thought Hopkins won. Read between the lines.

Because he knew he would of loss the rematch, because he doesn't really believe he won the first fight. It's common sense. Just look at the statement he made about fighting Hopkins again. He said Hopkins held and tried to spoil the fight and that he would never fight Hopkins again. He was coming up with excuses to justify why he wouldn't go round 2 with Hopkins.

    Nope...

Calzaghe didn't only won the fight on boxrec...
He won the fight in the ring too.
ANd Hopkins was so disgracefull with all the acting there...

Calzaghe gave him a lesson by not giving him a rematch.

Well if really beat him like you say, than he could do it again. If you know you can beat someone, you don't have any worries about a rematch because you know you got the psycological advanatge now because you proved you could beat him. Nice to see your making excuses for him, the same way he did. Calzaghe knows he loss and just be grateful that bias ass Chuck Giampa gave that fight to him because we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Giampa doesn't like Hopkins and he robbed him in the Taylor fights too.

No i didn't say that, I said that he could added more to his legacy to prove his greatness by proving he really beat Bernard Hopkins since their's tons of fans that don't believe he did. Because theirs always gonna be that question mark when discussing his career. He could of also fought Chad Dawson who rightfully so deserved it and it would of solidified Calzaghe's all time standing and status for this era but he didn't. Now if you don't recognize that, than your blind.

I agree ! Also, this fight will always haunt Calslappy whether he likes it or not. He knew he got a gift decision.

Based on the fight, Hopkins would NEVER, EVER, win a fight against Calzaghe, even the shot version of Calzaghe. Who the fukk you kiddin, Calzaghe had a jolly time handing Hopkins his ass! :rofl
