Witnessing the great Sugar Joe dominate the formidable and ever present danger incarnate, Left hook Lacy.

I shed but a single tear upon the completion of the final round.

Holyfield-Tyson 1...will never forget the combination of raw excitement and disbelief watching Holyfield dominate Mike. Then the magnitude of what was happening culminated in one instant when Holyfield staggered him back to the ropes at the end of Round 10.

Yeah...but going into that fight, I knew Holyfield had one thing Mike wasn't gonna be able to handle...A chin from hell...I knew if Holyfield could take Mikes best punches, then Mike had no chance at all...Not to mention the head butting that constantly frustrated Mike...In all honesty, Tyson as we knew it was dead and gone after he fired Kevin Rooney...He carried on with his mystique the fights going forward

I would say for me being alive (since 1987) was when Lennox leveled Tyson with that "crunching right hand!!" I'll never forget how pumped I was cause I felt Tyson just wasn't getting up. As for all times there are 3 that come to mind, the positive memory and best overall is Ali's 8th round KO of Foreman. Number 2 is Aaron Pryors destruction of Arguello which is not a good memory of mine, and Number 3 is the finale 4 rounds of Holmes just brutalizing Randy Cobb... again not a good memory but one I will never forget.

    Good thread ... here´s mine

I´m from Finland and there´s only 5 milj Finns, so we´re a real tiny nation.
In here boxing isn´t exactly a big sport. We have only app. 400-500 boxers in the amateurs and 20 pros.

The year was 2006, we hadn´t had a European Champion in the professional boxing for 30 years.
Amin Asikainen - whom I personally know and rooted for fanatically - took an a fight against the Champion - Sebastian Sylvester.
In Germany, in Sauerland´s evening, with only a little preparation time. The odds were against him. I thought that he was going to lose.

In the 8th round Amin knocked Sylvester out with a vicious left hook and became only the 4th European Champion in Finland.

Thinking about it still sends shivers down my spine.

I've watched hundreds of great fights but if we are talking memorable moments, then I would have to say why Tyson bit Holyfields ear as the most memorable. I will never forget that, people were like WTF!

De la hoya vs Pac. I got that fight as a xmas gift, and thought I'd see de la hoya blast him away. I cried and went to my room. Oscar was/is my idol, and I was heartbroken to see him humiliated and beaten up like that.

mine was the night lennox lewis regained his title from hasim rahman. going into the fight, i didn't know where lewis's head was. did he let all the **** rahman had said leading up to the fight get to him? was he going to be a little gun shy? i just didn't know.

with lewis being my favorite fighter, i used to get emotionally involved in a way i have never done for a boxer. waiting for him to make his entrance to the ring was horrible. especially this one.

as soon as the first round started, i began screaming for him to use the jab, to get a feel for the fight before he started bringing in the right hand. hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid.

watching the rounds go by was nerve wreaking. i had a focus on the screen like never before.

then the 4th round came up. lennox threw a left hook as a blinder, then swung this almighty right hand. CRASH!! goes rahman.

"don't get up!!. stay down you *******" joe cortez counts him out. "yeaaaaaah, yeaaaaaah, 3 time heavyweight champion of the world". i then ran into the street at 5 in the morning screaming, waking up a neighbours dog in the process. i got back in time to hear lennox say, "hasbeen rahman, iv'e changed his name to hasbeen rahman now".

a moment that will stay with me forever.
