Froch with the top ten hits. Now there's an image I could've done without.

He stays in shape in between fights. I guess he weighed himself after a training session and in reality is probably 175. I'd be very suprised if he walked around at 167.

I don't dispute that for a minute but did they actually say what weight he was?

Froch started his career as a light heavyweight.

the morning of the Dirrell weigh in he was 167 3/4.

The evening before the weigh in against Abraham he claimed to be 169.

He must walk around at 175 tops at the very most not much more than that.

Why would any Boxer do that? I don't quite understand that, and it is hard to believe.

    exactly.

No way does a guy like Froch, who is educated and reads up on nutrition etc walk around below the fighting weight limit TWO weeks before the fight.

**** sake the guy is huge for a Super Middleweight fighter and he's talking about going up to light heavy after the Super 6.

    Doesn't make sense :huh

Don't see why he would lie about it, it is odd though.

If he walks around in the low/mid 170's whilst out of camp I'm sure he can cope with being 167 for a few weeks.

He's not like Hatton who shouldn't have been below 140 for more than a couple of hours.

I read an interview where he said he doesnt use weights and does alot of circuits so that could explain why he stays at that kind of weight. Im very surprised if this is true though because he always seems to look big compared to the guys hes fighting. Definitely not like hes giving up anything in size.

Froch has brilliant genetics as well though he always seems bigger than his opponents he is also fairly slender he isn't massive in the arms or chest he does a lot of HIIT and circuit work.

Yeah i suppose he is quite long, his only large bit is his nose/jaw. Thats what i read he also said he quite enjoyed the training i think, which would explain his low weight. I always assumed he had to cut quite alot to get to SMW cos he looks big and he talks about going up to light heavy.

I believe that he is at this weight 2 weeks before the fight. Was i the Kessler weigh-in where he was that confident of making weight he was eating a banana beforehand?
