I have no idea why the word crack-er was censored on that post!

Crack-er = racist word for a black person in some places, bit daft really.

I'll give it a miss then. Calzaghe's is the worst boxing book I've read by a distance.

Stay away from books about current boxers is a fairly safe general rule.

It was released before the Kessler bout was even arranged if I remember correctly, then re-released a bit later when he had garnered a bit more media profile, but without any changes.

Exactly. Pretty sure I got it as a present, cannot for the life of me believe I looked at it and made the conscious decision to purchase it!

To be truthful I'll almost certainly buy Froch's, simply because I'm a fan. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't ****-poor first.

Yeah, apart from the back of the book, so it gave the impression that it went up to 2008, post-Hopkins.

Yeh me too, but I think I'll wait a while as it is only out in hardback I think. Cheaper and nicer to read in paperback! Plus it might be updated when it gets re-issued in paperback, especially if the super 6 has finished. Can you wait 12 months though....? :think

I remember my local pound shop had Audley bios for months, haha. And Khan DVDs (I admittedly bought this). I think I might pick up Froch's book, I thouhgt Hattons was an alright read (and it's funny imagining his voice saying everything in your head)

I only started it the other day and I'm half way through it already. Really enjoying. I have always liked Froch and I think he comes across very well in the book. It's a nice change because with the last few autobiographies I have read, I lost a lot of respect for the person after reading them.

The only drawback so far is it doesn't go into too much detail with his early fights. It's a good book though and it's easy and fun to read.
