If he beats Froch then all he beat is a straight forward brawler type.

Lucian Bute is a slick fighter, but he's not a slick african american fighter.

I want to see Ward fight a slick african american and then see what he does

I think Froch would be a very very real challenge.

erm did you not watch froch vs arbraham???

Froch likes a tear up sure but he can box as well. What Ward really needs is someone who moves and has speed if Bute ever stops up to the plate then maybe him, but kessler, bika and froch are all top quality fighers

Isn't Ward himself a "slick" (I use the term springly) African-American fighter?

Other one was Direll who pussied out of the Super 6 fight with Ward.

You don't beat Mudine, Andrade, Beyer and Froch the way Kessler did without being a real challenge. I'd like to see that one againt under fair circumstances though.

Reading some of the stuff on here, I think Ward could beat Froch,Bute and Hopkins on consecutive nights, and people would still find a reason to say hes no good.

Its not Ward's fault that Dirrell got injured in the Abrahams fight. What I remember is that many viewed Ward as an underdog going into the Super 6 and a he tkills arehoroghly dominated the favourite Kessler and it was not even close, ditto Green and Abraham. He has also defeated Miranda thoroghly and another tough guy Saskio Bika. His skills are pound for pound up there and his mentality is right for the game. He lives the life. Dirrel would cause anyone problems. Dirrell may be faster than Ward whereas Ward is quicker than Dirrell. Same equation between Zab Judah and Pernell Whittaker

I'd love to see Froch - Ward.

Question is: Will Ward get the hometown advantage again? For the 20th time in a row?
