Absolute joke, Woodhouse isn't even british level. Frankie i think you need to dump Warren! making disgraceful fights like this. Matchroom will happily have you and get you good fights.

  2. Even if you think the fight is shite at least Frankie's keeping busy. Frank needs to have Gavin, Saunders and the other prospects out at least 5/6 times a year at this stage.

I think it's a step forward from Mutley, though I don't think Curtis would have an easy night with Lomax.

It'll be a good fight and something that both can learn from. The only thing he'll have learned from that farce last week is to not fight when you aren't feeling too clever.

At least it's coming up shortly though - if we were waiting six months for it I'd wholeheartedly agree with you. Ideally Frankie would be fighting for the British immediately but Theophane isn't playing ball, and rightly so in my opinion.

    :thumbsup

he should have had them out 5/6 times a year when they turned pro, it is not the way Fish Eyes does things.

Its a step down. he has already beaten a guy that beat Woodhouse over a year ago.

Woodhouse would have been good for your 11th fights.....if it was your 2nd year as a pro not 3rd.

Haven't looked at the bill but assume this is 3rd from the top and therefore no guarantee of being shown in much detail so as a quick, stay busy, undercard fight I don't really have a problem with it

surely this is not for the WBO title after the losses Curtis has had, I bet it won't be made at 10.7, was not Curtis supposed to be fighting Darren Hamilton at a lower level, this is a bad fight, what's next Dean Harrison ? Gavin's trainer excells confidence in his charge, so why not force the issue with a high ranked opponenent ?

For the first few years as pro you're looking for your charge to be learning the pro game and by the stage Frankie's at now moving onto title recognition, this fight does neither. At least with Mutley you had a former British titlist, it had some clout. Mutley's performance was appaling but it still carries more than beating Curtis Woodhouse.

I'm sure in the gym Frankie's learning loads from Arnie but I cant see what he's getting out fighting guys that are not in his league, not learning from and lets face it are worse quality than guys he fought and beat in the ams. Its ok saying Curtis will come to fight, that's only playing into Frankie's counter punching strengths making it an easier night for him! Frankie needs a test, this isnt it I doubt he'll get it domestically

I just think it'll be a good fight.

It'll be the first time Gavin's faced an opponent that'll come to win, which admittedly is a sorry state of affairs considering he's had ten fights.

Plus Curtis is a Yorkie :deal

Even if he did play for the Blunts :-(

what makes you think Curtis will come to win more than Mutley, Lomax and McDonough who are all better than Woodhouse?

Woodhouse will see this as his big chance. Mutley and Lomax were finished before they even got in the ring. At least Woodhouse is relatively fresh.

Look at it this way. It's a domestic scrap with two fighters who really don't like each other. It's also a fight that can make Frankie look good as his opponent, is more than likely, going to come to try and win.
