"Dear bob arum first I would like to humbly apologize for any pain I have caused to you and or your family.I also want to apologize....To manny paquiao for any wrong doing in my part.you are a great champion.I have realized that by accepting my mistakes everyone around me...Will hopefully forgive me.with great humility I ask we work together for the good of the sport we dearly love.It is not fair to the fans...And to the fighters.so today let's move forward and put on the best fights possible and show the world what we are capable of doing. Thank you bob.your friend oscar"

From his Twitter. Hopefully this leads to some big fights.

Pacquiao will probably drop any case against De La Hoya now.

Good, strong words. Sounds sincere and is a bold move. I would think this would help the sport of boxing big time.

If this twitter post is genuine and Oscar doesnt back out of this apology and Arum accepts this apology, Im 100% sure Pac will drop the lawsuit for quite a few reasons.

And I would take a lifetime avatar bet with you on this one too.

ODLH made a similar post about a year ago. Arum's response was that ODLH pick up the phone and apologize like a man, not online.

This is great. I always thought DLH would be the first among the Mayweathers, Arum, or Schaefer to try to break the ice. This, along with Arum's recent optimism about meeting with Schaefer in the future after the JMM negotiations, will likely mean more cross-promotional fights. :good

I wish DLH the best of luck. Seems to be doing some soul searching right now. But as a man....you don't hide behind a letter or key board to make a sincere apology. Meet Bob or call him directly if you are serious about righting your wrongs and owing up to your mistakes.

Pacquiao isn't the type to be vindictive about these things. He has previously said that all he wants is an apology and he's got one from De La Hoya. I think his issue is more to do with the Mayweather's and he understands that GBP just did their job, which is to stand by Floyd.
