    Trading with Louis would get Ali knocked out, Joe had a tremendous left hook at some point I think Louis lands out a left hook much like Joe Frazier landed, when Louis gets some one hurt its over.

    Prime for prime? What a fight!! The 2 best heavyweights ever IMO. Both would have to be at their respectable bests to win here. Any slacking by one and the other will take it. I cant see Joe catching up with Ali, although he will always be a threat no doubt. Ali by UD with a bit to spare, but he works a full 15 rounds for it.

    Over a series i dont think its inconceivable for joe to win 1 outta 3 though.

    Ali of '67 was just as sharp as '35 Louis, and even faster with his punches and legs....

    People say Ali lacked power. Tell that to Cleve Williams and Zora Folley..

    Just cuz G. Chuvalo went 15 rds in '66 doesn't mean Ali can't whack; Chuvalo had a chin of granite...

    Baer in '35 was scared of Louis. But Max never admitted it openly due to his ego and pride, but he knew Louis was a better fighter.... Max's defense was also below par...

    I'm sorry, but '67 Ali smacks Louis 'round as the fight progresses into the later rds, which a decision or TKO for Ali is probable...

    Maybe i didn't clarify myself. I meant that ali played around "in the ring", i wasn't talking about outside. In the ring he clowned around and wasn't serious alot of times. You never saw louis play around, even if he did relax sometimes.

    Ali pretty much knew what he could get away with when fighting his opponents, and he would know that he would have to be careful against louis at all times.

    from the opening bell to the 10th, it will be Ali's speed that will dictate the fight, Joe wobbling on some occassions. But after the 10th, I see Joe tagging Cassius on the ropes. Ali gets tired from the early onslaughts to the benefit of Joe. on the 15th round, It's all Louis' power punches, then the KO.

    How dose this prove your point? Bear is admitting to fearing Louis.
    A little trivia that has nothing to do with the topic. Louis got Maried the day of the fight.

    So do you really think Louis gave or was at 100% for all his exhibitions and fights over the years? Or at his most motivated and aggressive? I swear to god....

    That's what I'm saying.... Folks praise Louis for dusting Baer easily in '35, but Baer was scared shitless of Louis prior to the opening bell... I'm never shocked when a man enters the ring knowing his goose is cooked and gets stopped early....

    Point was, Louis gets too much credit for kayoing Baer in '35.... Baer was beat before the fight started... Okay, he was game in the first couple rds, but then he conceded and took his exit in round 4... No surprise...

    Afraide of Louis or not when his fist meets a chin no matter good that chin is. My money would be on the fist of Joe Louis. Which is probbly he was so feared.
