    He had the balls to fight him 3 times, more than can be said for Robinson.

    I didn't know one fighter could buy out another's contract?

    Is that the reason burley never got his shot? That seems so callous. It's a huge shame burley and robinson didn't have a 3 fight series.

    I don't think it would be legal today, but in essence it is the same thing Don King, Arum and many others have done for years. They stipulate where, when and who a fighter will fight and the fighter being under contract has little choice if he wants to eat.

    Thankfully we can look back and appreciate burley even tho he never fought for a title

    I don“t know nothing about many of the guys he lost......So, he is hard to rate for me....

    All time p4p? Absolutely. At welterweight Im sure arguments can be made he's top 25. He fought a who's who of fighters with mixed results.

    Yeah i'm sure he's up there as a welterweight. I had seen him on p4p lists also and was wondering if there's anything i'd missed out on.

    Most people on these boards actually admire fouling.
    For them it is a reason to include in their lists , just see the fuss about Hopkins , Hopkins is overrated on these boards for at least the last 2-3 years .
