groves vs degale in lanzarote

    just got back from lanzarote throught the night , puerto del carmen.

    i watched the above fight with my brother in a wee place called arthurs bar which was mobbed for the fight.

    the crowd in there were pro groves infact i never heard any shouts for degale althought the guy that runs the bar was taking a few bets on degale to win.

    now the fight....i had it 115-114 groves , like many i didnt think groves could fight that way , degale as expected acted like an idiot.

    degale has no class at all

    where did everyone watch the fight?? as i mentioned everybody in that bar wanted groves to win because of the way degale acts , the atmosphere at the fight sounded excellent and again pro groves.

    ps: how much did they get paid???..was the purse bid 400k meaning both got 200k for the fight??

    I prefer Tenerefe to Lanzerote.

    anyways, I just wathed it at my local walkabout and not many people were too interested in the fight it seemed

    i watched it at the 02 arena meaning i was there... i wanted groves to win.

    Not sure what the figures were but Degale would still have made more even if he doubled Groves purse.

    yes mate i did , im expecting to start the site up again in the next 2 weeks

    it wasnt just the site but personal e-mail stuff with banking thing etc , found out that i wasnt their only victim

    they hit about 5 other people

    the purse split was 60-40 in degales favour for the 400k but i think groves got a bit more degale a bit less to get it on a warren show.

    I was at the fight and the atmosphere was very pro Groves. I wanted Groves to win but I did feel a bit sorry for DeGale being booed like that. He's brought it on himself of course but I don't think he realised how strong public opinion was against him.

    i was surprised to see such a pro groves crowd. degale might as well have been fighting erik morales in mexico. i think degale was clearly affected by the crowd. it is one thing going to liverpool and fighting a liverpudlian and getting booed, it's quite another thing when your hometown is booing you. you could see it when he was making his way to the ring and during this introduction by jimmy lennon jr. when he raised his arms after the fight to a chorus of boos, i kind of felt sorry for him. you could see it really affected him then

    he shouldnt have acted like such a **** then.

    all we hear is bunce and others saying what a nice guy he is off camera...well we only see the footage of him and when theres a camera on him he acts like a complete ****.
