Rigondeaux need more title-fights. He could face the other champs in 122 and then Donaire.

Hasn't realy impressed me that much. He's too defensive for me to enjoy.

I love Gamboa though. That little guy can fight.

Is it just that you aren'y keen on defensive fighters or do you really not think he is good?

He isnt busy enough, fights scared and lacks composure when
being rushed upon - very lucky to edge a decision against Cordoba.

Has the skillset, but can only fight from the outside.

    Not up to a Donaire.

Lol he isn't good, he's great. 2 time Olympic Champ and 2 time World Champ (Amateur) speaks for itself.

I just don't enjoy his style.

Yeah but he might not have transitioned well from Amateur to Pro.

Rigondeaux will close a lot of bad mouths.

He didn't struggled, he ran the last 6 rounds and still outclassed cordoba, the fight wasn't excited after the 6 but he didn't have any troubled beating Cordova.

And you got all this from one fight? He outclassed Cordova for the whole fight, he loss only one round against an ex-champ with tons of experience, in his prime and on his seven fight, how many fighters you have seen doing that? My guess that a fight against nonito will b boring they are both counters but if Nonito get frisky he will b splattered all over the canvas, he is not use to fight guys his own size.

Shortly after signing his contract in April of 2010, Rigondeaux is nearly knocked out while sparring in Los Angeles with a very limited youthful amateur. He promptly severs ties with his trainer, Freddie Roach, and returns to Miami. From his corner, Roach chillingly points out, "Someone was exposed here today."

Rigo was not satisfied with the limited time with busy trainer Freddie Roach and did not
perform motivated in the gym (read that Rigos mother had died in those days )
Rigo left Wild card gym and Roach same week. Read nothing about "nearly got ko"
