groves by 2 If JDG had put more combinations together and actually cut the ring off istead of looking really one paced he would probably have got the win
Fighters who lose usually come up with excuses but in this instance Hamed was utterly schooled by Barrera. Hamed always relied on reflexes and speed of delivery, but was so consistently beaten to the punch by Barrera that psychologically it effectively ended his career. Barrera was just a far better fighter than Hamed
I loved Groves bringing up the Barrera fight. Before the Degale fight Naz wasn't very complimentary of Groves. "Naseem Hamed rung me recently and said, 'What is George Groves doing getting in the ring with James DeGale?' "Naz told me he's watched George and that he's too easy to hit because his chin's always up in the air"
I had Degale up 1 point, but after watching it again yesterday I had it even. I think Degale could have bagged the decision if he finished better in the 12th. Can't complain with the result. Always been a Chunky fan but when the bell sounded I found myself cheering for Groves. I think it's because Degale is clearly such a tool and Groves seems a genuine decent bloke! The Groves camp had their tactics right. Aside from the silly comments about 'the blender'. I liked Booths tactical breakdown of the fight and he showed awarness of Degales strengths and weaknesses!
Booth already said as soon as he was asked the question. I will not go into it in detail and show you everything as we may fight him again one day...so based on that what you saw on ringside was just that...not the truth or anything to be analysed. Booth is one smart cookie who did not give anything away.
they are full of **** both of them booth and his negative tactics **** to watch degale won that fight i mean the first few rounds hardly any punches were thrown but de gale did the cleaner work ugly kid will never take a rematch and we all know why dont we
