Floyd or Cotto are definitely good choices. Sergio has to drop to 154 (as he said he was anyways). If I were his manager I'd jump at the chance to fight Floyd, but I highly doubt Floyd would be willing to fight him. So, I'd probably stick him up against Cotto, and let's be serious here....Martinez is going to make Cotto look silly. Then afterwards call Floyd out, and he'd beat Floyd as well.
Reason for beating Cotto: Just to slick, to big, to much power, to much movement, and he just beats Cotto down.
Reasn for beating Floyd: He fights much like Floyd just MORE ACTIVE, he's bigger, he has more power, maybe even quicker at this point in Floyd's career. Honestly I think Martinez puts Floyd down around 7 or 8 rounds (probably just a KD though) cuz he will wear him down. Based on activity level alone though he coudl definitely win a decision. The only way I see Floyd winning this match is if the judges are payed to do so

Of course Pac, but honestly Pac has no business fighting him. If I were his manager though of course I'd jump on an opportunity to fight Pac. I think Pac will open up, get wild, and Martinez puts the hurt on him! Definitely knock him down at least a couple times.

 

May also say Sturm...in Germany? They'd fill up a football stadium and it could certainly be hyped to **** in Germany.

There is probably a better probability of this happening rather than Floyd, but Floyd is his own promotional company. He's a one man army.

And he called out Martinez before Martinez crushed Williams.

He's a bigger guy and could fit in comfortably at 154 based on his last performance against Mosley where he looked like a beast.

 

Pac won't happen for one sole reason

Martinez needs to be a Top Rank Fighter to get a decent Payday against Pac......He could get a Mayweather bout, that would be awesome....and since HBO, Mayweather, and Martinez are on good terms it would be easier to make...

 

I think Pacquaio knows he's too big for him, and Mayweather seems to have little interesting in fighting and if he does fight again would almost certainly take the 30 odd million he could expect for fighting Pac rather than alot less with almost as much risk with Martinez, so the realistic options are;

Sturm. It'd have to be in Germany to be a big fight but surely there's more money to be made with 20,000 fans in Germany than 4-5,000 in America.

Cotto. has been a Junior middle for a little while now, they could probably agree on a catchweight that'd still have the middleweight title on the line for it. Cotto's still popular witht the Puerto Ricans and it'd be an exciting fight most likely, there's plenty to work with marketing wise there.

Canelo. Probably too early to throw him in with such a high quality fighter but he's big for a light middle and will probably end up at middleweight before long, and if he's going to be the next big Mexican draw they're going to have to get him some big fight to rreally get the ball rolling.

Being Argentinian and unable to speak fluent English Martinez will never be a cross over star and with no areas with a big Argentinian population in America won't be able to get an ethnic/national fanbase, so any fight with him that'll be big will rely on him for the prestige and the other guy for the fanbase.

 

look really bad and/or lose his next to fights. Arum will sign the Pac fight in a hearbeat then.

he needs to hope that Chavez beats Zbik, that Cotto-Margarito rematch in the fall, and Chavez/Arum grow a pair and accept the Martinez fight.
