even if he was willing to keep on moving up, none of these guys are available this fall. Froch/Ward/Hopkins have contractual obligations and Bute is a *****.

Squeeze down to 47 or move up to 68.

    ..And sign with TR.

Cotto would be big, he'd porbably get at least a mil and a half for that, probably a good deal more.

As others have said if he's willing to travel, a Sturm fight would be huge too.

I push for Cotto in Madison Square Garden. That will give him exposure in the biggest American market against a fighter with an established fan base. Cotto vs. anybody will sell out the Garden, so the house will be packed.

Regular HBO reaches more viewers than PPV, and a lackluster debut on PPV could actually damage his reputation as a draw, so I forgo the immediate payday in exchange for the broader exposure. Also, I push hard for a 24/7 and use every opportunity to maximize his model looks in female friendly promotions. De La Hoya did it, and it worked out well for him.

That fight is too expensive for regular HBO. Cotto, alone, would require a guarantee larger than HBO would be willing to put up. This fight would have to be PPV or it would not get made.

True. In a hypothetical world, I would push for regular HBO, but in the real world in lands on PPV.

By the way, I met Sergio Martinez at the Ward vs. Abraham fight a couple of weeks back. He was very nice, shook hands and talked for a bit. He seemed to actually enjoy being around the fans.

A Cotto fight makes no sense for Arum.
    (Too much risk for Miguel)

Bob could make more money on a Cotto Vs. Margarito/Chavez Jr. fight than Vs. Martinez.
Besides that, Sergio gains nothing for fighting against Cotto. (Status wise)

    Squash that.
Martinez needs to start a Vs. Floyd campaign A.S.A.P.

I cant believe how much they sleepin on this guy. One or 2 fights in Argentina, Mexico, or Spain would get a huge, huge fanbase of latino fans that didnt know about him. Then bring him back to the states to add and builf on his fanbase. Then their wont be excuses of him not having one. Great fighter plus sex symbol like Oscar did it thats a double whammy. Hes got that SRL million dollar colgate smile. Fight with Cintron or Bundrage first to say Im back at 154 gentlemen. Prepare for battle! Then take on Pacman or Floyd.

ole bob wouldnt put pac in with martinez anyway.....

but as stated....his only shot is to get in with top rank....im sure hed bolt for that fight given the chance....dunno what that would entail....but hes got to be pretty happy with how lou has moved him so far.....but there doesnt seem like much more room for growth unless he drops or goes up....interesting to see what sergios next couple of moves are gonna be
