How did you get into boxing and what age did you start learning your trade?

I went to a boxing gym in my neighborhood to lose weight at age 20. It was a free gym for kids from the area. The coach saw potential in me. I was a competitive type. When asked if I would fight, I said sure.

Who did you look up to growing up in boxing who was your Idol?

When I started boxing my idols were Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones, Jr., Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson.

What fight taught you the most as a boxer?

The Bernard Hopkins fight in 1997 was my best learning experience in boxing.

What was your most embarrassing moment associated with boxing?

I am always embarrassed when I lose.

Johnson has fought over a dozen guys like Froch. Froch has fought no one like Glen Johnson.

 

Hmm. I am a bit surprised he would come out with that statement, both guys seem to be full of respect for each other. Ah well, I think Froch takes this one. A lot of people saw him getting knocked out by AA but Froch won every single round and didn't even look all that tired at the end, I believe his girlfriend put more effort into that fight than Froch had to. And for anybody that don't know what I mean by that, listen to the audio for that fight, you can hear that big mouthed biatch every second of every round!

 

I am not surprised though I should be but in reality Glenn knows his time is comming to an end soon, so what we hear is hunger, its not surprising to me that much...

As far as the girlfriend thing that **** reminded me of Lacys girlfriend or who ever that ***** was when he went over seas to get beat up by Calzaghe.

 

He started at 20, that should give guys lots of hope. So many are always asking if it is too late.

 

Johnson like many will be surprised by Froch's boxing skills once he gets into the ring with him. BTW this is really not like Johnson, he rarely talks trash before a fight like this.

 

I dont think its trash talk to be honest with you, I think he just gave a direct answer and in the tone you would expect to hear from Glenn, he probably smiled a bit when he told the reporter that.

I don think Johnson will be surprised by Frochs skills this is an old vet who has been in there with the best, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Tarver, Cloud, I mean he has been in there with the top fighters that are out there so IMO he has seen it all..

 

I hope the Brits haven't forgot about the last time their heros fought an islander. KO2. I expect the same results.
