Fighters who had their brief time in the sun when they came from nowhere and had great success before it was taken or they then dropped back down.

    Some examples

Glen Johnson - beat C Woods for the IBF LHW title, defended as underdog against R Jones then beat A Tarver, a great run and Johnsons time in the sun.

Carlos Baldamir - beat the man a WW Z Judah and then as a considered lucky champ beat A Gatti, before it all ended to Maywheather

Kelly Pavlik - as underdog beat Miranda, then beat MW champ J Taylor where he made a few defences until he met Hopkins

Julius Francis - probably not known much outside of the UK but as British champ and underdog, beat undefeated P Reid, undefeated D Williams, S Welsh before meeting a comebacking M Tyson.

So who else do you have who as an unlikely fighter who made it against the odds to have a brief moment where they rode the crest of a wave before dropping back down

Jermaine Taylor had a good run beating B hop twice to gain and defend the middle weight title until he met Kelly Pavlik.

Mayorga, thats a good one, he beat A Lewis who was favoured and then beat the man at WW Forest and then did it again in a return.

Buster has the probably the greatest upset win and he did nothing after that.

Huge shock. But Buster's moment in the sun lasted for the 3 rounds it took Lennox to reposses the 3 belts.

James Braddock, with Buster Douglas 2nd.

Braddock had a string of L's against bigger and bigger bums at LHW. Then brought in to be KOed, he shocked people against the #2 HW contender.
Then won 2 more against top HW contenders to get the shot at the HW title that nobody gave him a chance to win.

Held the HW title w.o. fighting for 2 years, and lost it to Louis.

No argument with fighters already named but Breidis Prescott should be in the mix somewhere.
