If this is true. I'm not going to get excited about it. However if Pacquiao can have 3 no risk fights Margarito, Clottey and Cotto in a row, amnd posibily 5 De La Hoya and Hatton. Mayweather should be able to have one.

Imagine Floyd fighting quality like this ?

    JMM at 147 lolol.

And before Manny had all the tools. Just hope you get to see your boy fight Spadafora or it will not be fun.

    Good call, Floyd.

Don't let the limited Maidana's stoppage of the dude get in the way of fighting the best.

You can probably exceed Lamont Peterson's performance against Vic.

And after that there's Devon Alexander, Andre Berto and even Maidana still left to conquer.

Ortiz is a young hungry lion coming off his biggest win against a fighter that was a threat to both Floyd and Manny. Ortiz would make Maidana's legs all wobbly and dance the flamenco he'd destroy Maidana in a rematch. Right now I have him 50-50 with Khan and both those guys would make Floyd or Manny fight hard for the wins. Floyd fighting Khan or Ortiz would be really good fights. Other than Pacman, Bradley, and Sergio, these are the most exciting and best fights for Floyd out there.

    No.

The only competitive fights for Floyd or Manny are Martinez or each other.

An Martinez is too big for Manny. And possibly for Floyd too.

Khan, Bradley, Ortiz, Berto, Maidana, Marquez ?

All very good fighters, and some of them are great fighters.

But all of them are a full level below Floyd/Manny.

The only way any of them could beat either of the two top dogs would be if Floyd or Manny had a really bad off-night.

And that is highly unlikely to happen.

Wasn't suggesting Ortiz or the rest of the 140 bunch are on Floyd, Manny's or Sergio's level, but I disagree Khan or Ortiz wouldn't at least be competitive. Khan has improved immensely since Prescott and being Pacquiao's number 1 sparring partner you know Khan isn't the same fighter. Ortiz took massive shots from an explosive Berto I'm sure he could take Maidana's by now. Clearly Ortiz's heart wasn't in it he wasn't stretched out, but the guy has the size, power, and speed for WW. He boxes and takes his time; not the reckless, face first puncher pre-Maidana. Big, strong southpaw, even though I think Victor is naturally right handed, I think will at least be competitive. Oh, I agree with you Cuchu, they won't win, they shouldn't win, but Khan and Ortiz shouldn't be taken for granted. They still make some mistakes you wouldn't find Floyd or Manny doing, but I wouldn't be surprised they gave a hell of a performance in a losing effort, similar to Arguello-Mancini or Sanchez-Nelson. Just sayin.
