He looked decent from what i saw of him in the Bute bout, but tell me more on the guy.

Has he reached his limit? If not, how far can he go? How would Degale/Groves fare against him? Thoughts on him as a fighter?

good solid fighter with good skill and a decent punch. would still be a good fight if he were to fight either groves or degale and if he has anything left he could win against either.

he was decent British, euro level at best, didn't really belong in there with Bute.... Might retire if I was him.

It was clear he was going nowhere at world level when Reid beat him back in 2004. Havent payed much attention to him since.

Good solid fighter, slightly vunerable but a good european level fighter just shy of world class. Reminds me of Denis Lebedev at times.

Retire? Explain? He's 35, still operating at a high (ish) level & making good money.. you've confused me :think

I just havent seen any of his fights since..except the Froch bout.

Btw did you listen to on the ropes radio where Jenna states Lebedev isnt a top cruiserweight and is not even in the top 10. I would love to see her rankings lol.

Groves needs to steer clear of Magee right now, it's just not the right fight for him at the moment...:yep

I remember when he was tipped for bigger things but ultimately couldne quite fulfill that early promise. Still a decent domestic gate keeper

a lot better than people give him credit for, should have got the nod against tsypko easy, has been plagued by injuries and various professional and personal problems which hindered his career, has been in great form the past few years, gave a good account of himself against bute like I said he would, while everyone else said he wouldnt last 2 rounds. very tough guy, very dodgy chin

Good solid fighter, former Olympian who was tipped for big things but had a few setbacks. Fought Froch when he should have avoided him and lasted 11 rounds, fought Tony Oakley for the British light heavy title the following year and won on one card but drew on the remaining two and Oakley kept the title. Just shy of world level as some posters have said. If I was Groves or De Gale I'd avoid him.
