Spencer is a great guy and those pointing the finger accusing him of being a racist need to have a word with themselves. I saw the status in question and it was a rhetorical question, not the most well thought out one, but it was that, not an expressed opinion.

Spencer embraces multi-culturism and go to one of his shows if you want to see it for yourself, as well as a top night of competitive boxing.

I think it reveals more about yourself if you are quick to call someone a racist for posting an innocuous, rhetorical question. That type of knee jerk reaction is a symptom of the ridiculous PC culture we have today.

Anyone say anything bannable in this thread? I would very much like to punish someone.

I think someone said that Groves deserved the victory :-(

I only watched 4 of the 12 rounds....so I can't say for sure who won....but I can almost certainly say DeGale disappointed by even allowing the fight to be close.

Even as someone who attended the fight to cheer Groves I know excatly what you mean and agree with it...

George Groves is, sadly, nowhere near Degales standard.

No, but Spencer Fearon has an account here. It wouldn't be unfair to ban him simply for being such a complete ****ing spastic.

Personally I had groves by a single point but wouldnt of argued had degale got the nod, i do hope for a rematch down the line to end it all tho. Next time out Degale wins pretty solidly (as long as he gets himself a decent trainer that is)...

You can't complain that people take exception to such a, frankly, idiotic point. He had no business saying it. He'd be better off pointing out that DeGale has acted like a complete spaz and has brought the dislike on himself. Though I hold no sway that it affected how the fight was scored. DeGale lost that fight because Groves outboxed him, out-thought him and out-fought him. Simple as that. Stupid points, as made by Spencer, diminish fighters' performances.

Specifically, it's not a racist comment. Just a terribly ill-informed and poorly thought-out one. I know nothing about the guy, but he's obviously passionate about the sport.

People will always judge others by how they look, what they wear, what they say. There's no point crying that people have misunderstood you when you say something so open to interpretation.

 you Burgers & chips racist!!!

Sure eating Burgers & Chips PROMOTES racial harmony - after all it's the Ebony & Ivory of cuisine.

It could almost be a euphemism for a relationship between an Irish man and a Jamacian woman

Gentlemen lets not even go there it was a badly written question on my behalf. I refuse to boast on the good I do for this sport and the people in it regardless of colour. My aim was not to infuriate or upset anybody. Unfortunately it did, but my question was only a question and not my opinion. As everyone knows the ethos of Hard Knocks is to unite and definitely not divide for the love of boxing. I am a positive example of a United Kingdom as I have united people through my shows where you see people of every race and face under one roof with one common denominator, and that is BOXING.

I urge you all to keep on writing on my FB page and keep up your love and passion for boxing and always keep it Hard Knocks! Peace and love to everyone.:bbb

But, Spencer, by writing the question, you're kind of endorsing the notion; thus maybe revealing it to be part of your opinion?

Anyway, I'm not gonna hold it against ya. You probably even have a point. Your respectable efforts in the boxing community hold more weight than a poxy facebook status. :good
