Haye is going to spar 3 days with Helenius.
It's quite funny actually, the two best opponents Haye has faced in his career thus far, ie before he fights Wlad are both sparring partners, being of course Tony Thompson and now Helenius. Possibly you could say Solis deserves to be ranked amongst those two from David's amateur days, but that's neither here nor there.

No, I agree. Valuev is head and shoulders above Helenius and Thompson.

    ^^^

You're off your ****ing rocker mate.

If Haye beats Wlad it'll be one of the biggest upsets in the last 30 years of HW championship history.

I'd have thought they may use David Price too, a tall man with a good jab that's sometimes reluctant to let his hands go.

na Beeston think your wrong there mate, doulgas tyson, foreman moorer probably even Sanders Wlad. Wlad has been put down a ridiculous number of times and stopped before and Haye has a KO punch in him for sure, if he can hang around long enough to land one. a big IF i know

Ofcourse it's fact, don't think anybody is going to deny that Wlad spars.

I think Tyson/Douglas and Lewis/Rahman are bigger upsets, and maybe Moorer/Foreman..... but I'm struggling after that.

Wlad has improved massively in the seven years since his last defeat and is very hard to hit clean, and an increasingly cautious Haye will struggle to land a hard shot on him without putting himself in the firing line.

Even if Haye does catch him he's not a clinical finisher ala Marquez or Pacquiao..... he's sloppy as hell when he's got somebody hurt.

Hmm, I sort of agree. Wlad is more or less the same fighter, but is now so cautious he'll gladly win with his jab rather than take out an opponent. So he leaves less opportunities for opponents, but he's not exactly an offensive machine.

Haye will fight cautious because it gives him a better chance of forcing a mistake from Wlad. It's going to be a tense but very dull fight. Wlad will be terrified of Haye's speed. He's not a counter-puncher. He'll try and get out of the way and then hold on for dear life.

Haye will be wary of the sledgehammer jab and the underused left hook. So, he'll step round to the right to make Wlad jab across himself. All of this equals serious tedium.

Haye seems to get in good sparring partners, more tough useful opponents to spar than just sparring partners really.

Wonder who klitschkos will spar?,who has the speed and power that haye does?

guess wlads sparring cruiserweights for this one.
