If Kessler brings the same fire he brought to Froch, Bute is getting KTFO

My only worry was that the Froch fight was Kessler's last stand, i'm not sure if he has anything left after that fight.

But if he puts on the same kind of performance, Lucian will get Ko'd, he was having problems with the straight punches of Magee, Kessler will walk him down and KTFO

**** yea. Bute has been used to punching bags Miranda and Andrade if Kessler brings back that aggressiveness and consistency to fight like he did with Froch, it's all over for Bute. And Kessler has a good set of whiskers himself. Bute hasn't been tested like Kessler has. Not ragging on Bute he looks talented, but compared to the Super 6 he hasn't done ****. Not until he looks great vs a Super 6 or at least Ward, Froch, Kessler, or Johnson I'm still not a believer.

I see Bute winning via stoppage with a vicious left hand.

agreed. it will be good to see how he does against a live opponent. I think his and Froch's styles would mesh well, and make a hell of a fight. I would always pick the guy that has been in the better competion usually. But Frochy has been in some wars, and i feel if he comes through the johnson fight ok, then fights ward, it will be a big ask to come straight off those fights and fight Bute.

Kessler might be to basic to do well against Bute. Mikkel is a hell of a fighter, but he is not very creative.

Kessler too basic? Please Bute is a 1 trick pony, he's got nothing besides a left uppercut, nothing!

Bute looks good, but you have to consider the opposition which is **** ,and there lies the question. vs Kessler he can put a lot of the criticism coming his way to rest. He should be targeting Kessler or Bhop or Cloud or Dirrell not the cans he is feasting on

It's hard to predict a fight between Bute and any elite fighter. He simply hasn't been tested enough to make any accurate predictions, so it's tough. That said, I think Kessler could beat him but I can't make any in-depth prediction.

    Bute has a left uppercut

    Left hook to the body

    Combination punching....

Calzaghe turned the fight around against KEssler with a body punch.... Bute could END a fight with Kessler with body punching...

Hard to say since we haven't had the chance to see Bute vs Elite opposition but I think he's got too much in his arsenal for Kessler. Against a similar opponent in Andrade Bute looked slightly better IMO (save the 12th of fight 1) winning 11 of 12 rds in fight 1 and dominating on route to a KO in fight 2. We don't know enough about Bute's chin though and if it's shaky there's no doubt that Kessler will expose it. I think Bute might suprise people and win in fairly easy fashion but wouldn't be shocked by a Kessler KO.

If this were the same Kessler that Slappy Joe fought, it would be a very difficult fight, but Bute should win this one convincingly. But as others have mentioned, we don't know how Bute will react against top guys, if he's just a hype job, Kessler will prove it.

I think Bute would be a very live dog against Kessler. Kessler might not have much left after the eye problems he was having.

kessler seemed far from accurate in that fight.. he was throwing, but i didn't really think he was being effective. i'd have to go with the least tested Bute.. Why? cause the only test he came close to failing he smashed the second time around... in big fights Kessler seems to always come up short and I'd expect it again..

He came up short against Calzaghe and Ward I agree.

But if you are taking the fight against Andrade into consideration, then you have to consider that Kessler gave Andrade a boxing lesson from bell to bell and Kessler also raised his game against Froch.

Kessler has failed twice but he's also shown he can turn it on against Elites (froch at least) We dont know the same about Bute, and I also saw Magee have too much success against Bute, I think Kessler would have controlled a guy like Magee for the whole fight until the KO came
