Partially true. Can't say he picked and choosed Castillo and Corrales. He really sort of had to fight Baldomir after Baldo slapped Zab around.

He did pick and choose some guys but I don't see a lot of fault in picking and choosing when its guys like HAtton and Oscar. One undefeated and P4P ranked, the other the biggest money maker in boxing.

yep, he decided to pick the lightweight camp in his first fight at that weight class and chose to give him an immediate rematch. Then he picked to fight a future hall of famer in Oscar at light middleweight when he was still a small welterweight and chose to come in below 150 with no catchweight

He fought the top fighters in every division. Now did he fight every fighter presented to him? No but he still fought fighters. Moved up to 135 and beat the champ in his first fight at the weight. Moved to 140 and beat the number one guy in Gatti. Hatton was the champ at 140. He was suppose to move up again and fight the number one guy in Judah but he lost to Baldomir. So he beats the number 2-3 ranked welter in Judah and beats the champ in Baldomir. After that he beats the number 3 light middle Oscar. Comes back down and beats Hatton. He has fought fighters.

Floyd ducked Margarito, Cotto, and Williams. Those guys were the top dogs at WW, and Floyd pretended to retire so he could avoid them without suspicion.

Well if you looked at it. Floyd only fought an old Mosley and avoided everybody else at welter by retiring.

moved up to 140 fought Demarcus Corley, Henry Bruseles, and Gatti

moved up to 147 fought Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir

moved up to 154 fought Oscar

the first time Floyd moved up he fought Castillo and lost but got a gift. That was a big lesson for him.
