Granted, Many of the guys are 140 lbers and below...

So maybe we can focus on Floyd's 147 Resume... Cotto beats every single opponent of Floyds.

Mosley and Judah are arguably Mayweather's best wins at 147.. And as we know, Cotto destroyed Judah, and beat a younger version of Shane.

Who could beat Cotto? Hatton @ 147? Baldomir ? Mitchell ?

Cotto wasn't even relevant in in Floyds best weight class 130, so stop it.

it's really a no-brainer that cotto's resume is much greater than floyd at welter and would of beaten them including baldomir. the only question is oscar at 154 but i think cotto would beat that version of oscar that gassed against floyd.

What great fighters at 130 did Floyd prove himself against? You all think he's some sort of god at 130... why? Because he beat Corales? Please.... Manfredy? lol, Floyd's resume is a joke... he could rectify this in one simple way... fight the best fighter in the world right now.

I too think that @ 130 Floyd was a beast but 140-147 yes Cotto beats everyone on his resume including that Oscar @ 154

I wouldn't go as far as saying his resume is a joke tho...

Pac JMM Barrera Morales will be the ones remembered the most of this generation...

Mayweather would be in the back, great defensive fighter, we will always wonder what if about him and he will be known as a duck and *****...

Dude i have no doubt that the Oscar that Floyd beat... Would have enough left to handle Cotto... In fact hed ko Cotto late... And the Mosley that May beat didnt have nothing left but a punch,, IF Zab could avoid it even he beats that version of Mosley.,, Hell i think Blown up LW Marquez might even outbox that Shane...

One other thing you are ignoring most of Mayweathers best wins... Check his record out he built a long list of some very good fighters at JL,Lw.

One of the biggest parts of Floyd's legacy that will haunt him is he didn't fight everyone to prove he was the best.

Genaro Hernandez is better than both of them or at least Manfredy.. Also its the way he beat those 2(and Chicanito).. Corrales was close to top 5 pfp ,and more people were picking Corrales to win... Same with Hernandez although a little long in the tooth, Hernandez was still very good and many thought hed be to experienced for the talented but unproven Mayweather.. Manfredy was also hot at the time (before his other losses) and considered a live underdog... Add in solid ex champ contenders Famoso,Vargas,J Chavez,Castillo , now if you wanna downplay those guys.. Well then you are purposedly not giving Mayweather his props,,, Or maybe you werent watching much boxing back then to know that these guys were all making noise,or highly regarded.

Now dont get started on that ***** ****, as i dont take sides on the silly Pac,mayweather debates.. But his resume is better than given credit for...But i do agree that he could have done more at WW, but the Oscar win was still good, and although not in his prime Oscar was still elite when he fought Mayweather.

But this isn't the question your asking is it? What's 130lb and cotto got to do with floyd? And where does it matter if floyd beat great fighters at 130lb in relation to cotto at 147lb.

I get the impression this is another thread to discredit via dubious means and frankly none of it matters really..

Does cotto beat floyd at 147, hell no and this is all that should matter.
