On the last Friday fight nights.. Come into my parlour said mr spider! I think he is good value on Friday fight nights. Says ear muffs too much for my liking though
It always tickles me when he comes up with stuff like "earmuffs", "investing to the body" or "he made himself avaliable for that punch" and then people on ESB start using them a few weeks later in posts like they've been saying them all their lives....
I love it when he does his fight plan and tells 1 fighter that he should jump on his opponent when he has his hands down fixing his trunks. Brilliant the way he bases tactics on the chance of the opponent taking a 1-2 second break!
He was talking to b hop and b hop was going on about being like a fine wine etc, and after atlas said i like the wine but I'm not gonna let it get me drunk! His fight plans are class and the weaknesses he shows on them always show up in the fight.
Yep, if he points out a flaw beforehand then you can bet it will come out in the fight if the fight goes on for any decent length of time.
"it's like building a house. You put the bricks in the basement, and that housecwill hold up for you for years to come"
i like his commentary, his book is a very good read, as i once told him, seemed a nice fella to.Lets not forget he has trained champions, knows his stuff.Id take him over jim Watt any day,jim getting very repetitive and just seems to focus on one fighter, normally the favoruite.
Its the way he drags the analogies out even further that makes me laugh....."but if the bricks around the windows are faulty then the windows will fall out and right now the windows are falling out for Diaz in this fight"
Atlas really is class. I like how he analyses the mental aspect of boxing, I'd love to see him break down Floyd Mayweather and his psyche... and why he's refused to face top welterweights for six years. Compare him to ****ing Johnny Nelson pointing his pen at Dave Darts or Glenn McCrory.... jesus
